The league’s top two dominate the upper echelons of this week’s Captain Poll as Man City and Liverpool prepare for very favourable home games against West Ham and Newcastle respectively. With both sides set to go on the attack, Luis Suarez, Edin Dzeko, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero are joined by Chelsea’s Eden Hazard ahead of a trip to relegated Cardiff:

We take the top five in this week’s Captain Poll as our starting point and construct a members table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat in recent matches.

I'm still doing Aguero -> Dzeko.

Owning him whilst rival has Dzeko has hurt in recent weeks. I've got a 34 point lead to protect for £550, so I'm playing safe.

If both teams play with the same amount of conviction, then yes they can happen.

This game means nothing to West Ham. So it can't be compared to the Wigan FA Cup games, or the one in which QPR gave City a scare.

    The main dilemmas this week:

    1. Mata - Keep (minutes doubtful) or transfer
    2. Ramsey - Keep (minutes doubtful - could be rested, or played to get match fitness) or transfer

    'Big hitters':

Gerrard - Newcastle at home, on pens
Yaya - If not already got him. Great form, probably the best midfielder in the world right now
Hazard - Explosive player, on pens, wants to end season on a high (his words)
Sterling - Maybe a medium hitter, but great form and playing newcastle at home

    'Punts':

Schurrle - Explosive history, should do well against Cardiff
Arnautovic - Great current form, playing away to a leaky WBA defence

    Forwards:

    1. Rooney (unlikely to play)
    2. Aguero (match fit but not sure how many minutes)

    'Big-hitters'

Dzeko - great current form, defend against rivals due to high ownership
Sturridge - Newcastle at home, great form over the season but recent injuries

    The rest:

Giroud - Playing against relegated Norwich, but could be rested
Adebayor - Good form over the season
Lukaku - Last season history (hatty), blows hot and cold, Could do well against Hull team thinking about FA cup

    Punts:

Wickham - Punt but great recent form, has ankle knock few weeks ago so could be rested with Poyet saying he will swap a few players
Odemwingie - Playing leaky WBA defence
Borini - Playing well, on pens, risk of rotation

    There's probably some more.

    Personally I am thinking of

    Roon > Sturridge
    Keep Kun
    Mata > Hazard

    Thoughts?

I think Roon to Sturridge is the best move, but one that a lot of people will take.

I think Ramsey will play 45-60 mins to gain some match fitness as he's not played a lot recently. Need to get his sharpness back for the cup final. On the other hand, Sterling is playing a poor Newcastle team, and he is always dangerous. Should break-even at least

Mata/Ramsey to Sterling is the one I am thinking of.

Not really keen on ditching Borini for some reason. He is a good differential for me and I think there will be a celebratory atmosphere at the SOL and would expect a good goal-filled performance.

Writing 'Yaya' and 'Toure' makes your team look better than it is,

      Its still very good mind.
If you have money to do Borini to Sturridge... otherwise good as it is - I like Borini.

Can't do Borini to Sturridge so would need to downgrade Mata to Sterling for a -4.

Don't want to waste a FT so might just double up on Chelsea defence.

It's more of a defensive move to block rival off. 28 points should be enough but Dzeko and Gerrard could do some damage against me. so I'm getting them both in a safety first measure.

Saw a 4 point lead change into a 24 point deficit last week and dropped from 9k to 16k - got so many doubts* in my team that I don't even know where to start!

    De Gea

    Terry* | Chester* | Ward | Olsson | Demi

    Mata* | Ramsey* | Noone* | Yaya | Eriksen

    Suarez | Aguero* | Wickham*

£6.3m to spend and thinking Wickham + Terry > Sturridge + Baines, that still leaves me with Mata, Ramsey and Kun who might all only get 30mins...

Not much to fight for, but I'd like to keep climbing (top-60K right now, highest I've been all year thanks to a 95-pointer in GW37, which would have hit triple digits had I not captained Mata):

        Mannone
        Flanagan-Zabaleta-Baines
        Mata-Eriksen-Gerrard-Nasri
        Dzeko(v)-Suarez(c)-Lambert

        Ruddy-Azpilicueta-Mutch-Chester

I want to drop Mata and would have dropped Azpilicueta as well, if I knew I could get someone to cover the -4, but then I'd also have to bench one of my 11. So, I guess, two questions:

        1. Mata >>> who? 12.0 to play with
        2. Anyone else a rotation risk?
