The league’s top two dominate the upper echelons of this week’s Captain Poll as Man City and Liverpool prepare for very favourable home games against West Ham and Newcastle respectively. With both sides set to go on the attack, Luis Suarez, Edin Dzeko, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero are joined by Chelsea’s Eden Hazard ahead of a trip to relegated Cardiff:

We take the top five in this week’s Captain Poll as our starting point and construct a members table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat in recent matches.

      Thanks for the input all. I've had a look at AJ's history now after you all suggested benching him, and its not good. I'm still worried about Mata's gametime, but AJ is now looking increasingly like getting virtual splinters!

        Yep, like you i was serious violated by having Mata as captain. It was either him or Dzeko - I made a poor choice

    My rival has been taking points to copy my team. He currently leads by 3 points now. What can I do to mix it up? Also, do the majority believe Aguero will or won't play? Seen the tweets. My team is A and rival's is B. I need to win. I am running for 3 years straight. Money no issue. Thinking RVP.... one player my rival can't afford.

        I think so too. He is a diehard LFC fan. He only has 1FT and 0.7 in the bank though so he WILL have to take a hit to bring in Suarez. Unless he brings in Suarez.

        I am looking at RVP for Rooney. Means I'll have to degrade somewhere for 0.9 or do Aguero to Dzeko as he looks likely to get minutes and play? (Not sure on Aguero's game time).

    1 point difference between me and opponent for ML 1st place. I already use my FT for Rooney to Sturridge.. Still waiting to see who will he bring for Rooney...
    This is the main differences -

    ME - HIM
    Azpi - Zabaleta
    Yaya - Nasri
    Eriksen - Lalana
    Ramsey - Gerrard
    Aguero - Lambert
    Sturridge - Rooney (I suppose he will bring Sturridge or Dzeko)

    I have no decent bench for the case somebody doesn't start, and he will have Barkley on the bench.

    A - Leave and wait Sunday
    B - Ramsey to Sterling for -4
    C - Something else

      I reckon you are winning this battle, except for Ramsey Gerrard. Think it will be more than 4 points from others already, so maybe Ramsey -> Gerrard would make it sure. If you don't like that, how about Ramsey -> Mata?

    The more I read into Jose's statement the more I confuse myself.

    "Eto'o got an injury today in training, Terry yesterday picked up a little thing too. So normally all of them are out."

    Does he mean normally as in if it wasn't the last game of the season they would be definitely out but because it is they aren't or am I just being stupid/hopeful as a Terry owner lol?

      That generally means that unless something extraordinary happens, they are out. What Mourinho means by it, only he knows.

      I'm reading into that: normally, this would mean they are out (so they are unlikely to play).

      But I could also be being biased as a non-owner. 😉
