Just one round of fixtures left, then, before the season comes to a close. We assess the progress of the Scout league leaders in a variety of Fantasy games, with Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games all included in this afternoon’s round-up:

Fantasy Premier League

Tom Fenley retains his spot at the top of the Scout league after picking up 67 points in the previous Gameweek. Vito Mannone, Yaya Toure and captain Sergio Aguero all delivered double figures, whilst the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Branislav Ivanovic, Raheem Sterling and Luis Suarez all picked up the points as Tom moved onto 2,586 points – number one in the world.

Our recent podcast guest Luke Weston remains in second after picking up 59 points in a disappointing double Gameweek. Like Tom, he also had Toure, Aguero, Mannone and Suarez, though his decision to captain Juan Mata proved costly, after the United midfielder managed just four armband points. Luke also has Connor Wickham and Gary Cahill to thank as he moved onto 2,564 points, enough for third overall.
Veronika Solymosi soars into third after an excellent 83 point Gameweek. Opting for a front three of Aguero, Edin Dzeko and captain Fabio Borini, she also earned points from John O’Shea, Martin Demichelis and Leighton Baines, moving to fifth overall on 2,550 points.
Eoin Maye slides from third to fourth in the Scout league. Eoin is now seventh in the overall rankings – Mannone, Aguero, Dzeko and Samir Nasri were his main men, with Mata a captaincy let-down.

Jono McPhillips climbs to fifth spot after a 78-point Gameweek. He handed Toure the armband and also earned points from Nasri, Aguero, Suarez, Mannone, Wickham and Ivanovic as he jumped to 12th overall.

Thanks to the performances of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remains top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members league, world number one Tom Fenley leads the way. Jono McPhillips is in second spot on 2,533 points, whilst Luke van Lelyveld is back in third on 2,508 points.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Alew Bowers climbs to the top spot in the Scout league for the Beta phase of the Ultimate game. With 1,034 points, he is now first in the overall standings, whilst Bogdan Radu is in second spot on 1,016 points – enough to earn his seventh overall. Jason Pont drops to third this week, with 1,004 points leaving him eleventh in the overall standings so far.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun’s pair of teams remain first and second in the Scout league, with 2,535 and 2,519 points respectively. Dammy’s two sides sit in second and third spot overall, though his highest scoring side is now 73 points off the summit. In third spot in the Scout League is Luke Williams, who writes our Friday afternoon Sky Sports Focus articles under the name d1sable – Luke is fifth in the overall standings on 2,509 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor remains the runaway leader of the Scout league with a total of 2,062 points. His tactic of loading up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Liverpool’s front two has paid off so far and helped him into eighth in the overall standings, just 32 points off the top. Charles Mouzon sits in second and third spot, though his highest scoring XI is 146 points behind Geoff. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.

Champions League

With just the final left to play on May 24, Pavel123 remains on top of the Scout league on 826 points – earning him fourth spot overall. Zadid56 sits 20 points further back in second (15th overall) and Diegocho33 is in third on 802 points, enough to earn 22nd spot overall.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX Final will take place this weekend, whilst we’ll also have a play-off for third and fourth, with prizes, as well as pride, still very much on the line. Our Members Cup IV Final was played out over the previous Gameweek – we will publish an article on both cups later today.

            Valencia and Nani have had seasons where they strongly guided us to trophies. More than can be said about any Arsenal player.

      I reckon the reason most of us try to avoid the Ramseys and Yayas of this world early on is holding on to that wild hope we can win FPL. Eventually things will fall into place and I alone will be the one to pick the true stars of the season. If we abandon this hope and accept we will be behind those lucky few who got on each bandwagon at the perfect time, we may actually win! Oh wait..

        I can understand why people did not get Yaya as he was probably over priced for a defensive midfielder, which is what people say him as but not getting Ramsey was sheer folly as he was such a low price and on brilliant form.

                    Its a hard one for me because the starting XI is good but I know they won't all start.

                    Don Vito
                    Kolarov, Azpi, Alonso
                    Nasri, Mata, Ramsey, Sterling
                    Aguero, RVP, Suarez(c)

                    Only fit player on my bench is Olsson and have no money to upgrade Noone. Thinking I sell Jones and put the replacement as 1st sub to cover for Kolarov/other absentees.

                        Who do you think I should get up to 5.9m? Kos looks the obvious one but I'm worried about a weakened Arsenal team.

                        I'm thinking I get Brown for the triple Sunderland defence. He's been racking up the baps as well.

                          Ridgewell's an interesting one but I don't trust West Brom one bit. Cahill's too expensive unfortuantely, I'd have liked to get him.

                          Think I'm settled on Brown to come off my bench for Aleks with 15 points.

                          They seem to always have a high scoring game at the end of the season. Its been something like 5-5, 2-3 and 3-3 their last 3 seasons. With Stoke scoring well recently it looks like a good game to punt on a midfielder/striker from one of the teams.

          There is some risk he will be benched as Poyet did say he will be resting 3-4 this game week. With 2 injuries that most likely means 1-2 of the other 9 will also be rested. Will it be Mannone? No one knows so we just need to guess.

        If you don;t think he will play and you have fodder on your bench then you are really only taking a 2 point hit.

        I personally think it is worth it as he has excellent home form and good fixture.

        Chasing an almost impossible 35 points.

        Roo->Ade & Ramsey->Hazard (Rival has Sterling & Wickham to cover)

        But leaves wit Suarez as Liverpool cover. Enough?

        Can do Aguero->Sturridge to make it 8 points, but seems stupid.
        Rival probably getting Sturridge also so he wouldnt be much a differential.

          Overall final week strategy for Leaders defending around a 14pt lead?

          a) Minimise transfers to a -4 hit maximum and rely on possible 'all or nothing strategy' of the opposition to cut their own throats or
          b) Use the points gap to block and close out the opposition?

          No matter where I turn while looking for a differential to sweep away the points I've lost in recents weeks, all roads lead to Schurrle.

          I think it'll have to be a Ramsey & Jones > Schurrle & Ivanovic -8pt hit!

          Currently have my team sitting on -12 for this weeks transfers and so tempted to pull the trigger:

          Mata --> Sterling
          Ramsey --> Eriksen

          Aguero --> Dzeko

              Mata averaging around 4 points per game over the last 4 gameweeks, he is not guaranteed to play and Southampton are a strong team and not many goals predicted.

              Ramsey averaging around 5.5 points per game over the last 4 gameweeks, he is not guaranteed to play as Arsenal have cup final coming up so he may be rested or only have a small cameo role.

              Rooney he has to go as is injured.

              Aguero averaging around 5 points per game over the last 4 gameweeks, he is made of glass and has WC on his mind, no guarantee he will play and if he does he is unlikely to play the whole match.

              ================================================
              Sterling averaging over 8 points per game over the last 4 gameweeks and is nearly guaranteed to start, plus Pool have a better fixture. If him and Mata keep the same average this week I will have lost nothing but if Mata does not play or only comes off the bench I will be up.

              Eriksen averaging over 11.5 points per game over the last 4 home games and is nearly guaranteed to start. Eriksen does not have WC or cup final to worry about so hopefully going for it. Spurs have the 3rd best fixture for the likelihood of goals this week. If Ramsey does not play and Eriksen continues his form I am up 7.5 points.

              No need to justify Podolski as he will be the FT, plus Rooney is injured so this is a no brainer.

              Dzeko averaging over 9 points per game over the last 4 gameweeks and is nearly guaranteed to start. If him and Aguero keep the same average this week I will have lost nothing but if Aguero does not play or only comes off the bench I should be up assuming Aguero does not produce and Dzeko maintains his recent average.

              =========================
              That is my reasoning, obviously I am not saying this is what will happen and we won't know until after the matches tomorrow.

          Really need your help lads:

          Am chasing 37 points and need a few differentials, it's likely he will put Sturridge in so with that in mind:

          Rooney + Ramsey > Schurrle (will he start?) + 11.9m forward which isn't Aguero (Lukaku??? )
