Open ControlsIt's back. Good deal. I was worried it wasn't going to be when there was no update last week.
Open Controls
Captain?
Open ControlsLooks similar to many of us - okay but not brilliant. Prolly finish GW in top 20-25%
Open ControlsYes I was very pleased with my GW1 (74), but, just like every year, so difficult to back up a good score in GW2.
Open Controls
Liverpool fixtures will get better in a couple of weeks, thinking about getting Sterling. But how will Lallana's return affect him?
Open Controlsmissed the drop for jovetic and the rise for naismith 🙁
Open Controlswill naismith rise again tomorrow ? and make back my 0.1
Open ControlsI missed Naismith rise myself, was looking to ship Bojan.
Open Controlsblessing in disguise.
Open ControlsNot sure of that. I made the transfer and am happy to gain value from Naismith and save the 0.5. Even if Bojan performs, I can't be bothered to rotate Siggy. Naismith is a great price and will mostly enjoy sitting on my bench and torturing me with unclaimed points, though.
Open Controlsif your going with 352 its fine.
if you have jovetic though you should be playing 343 and getting a proper third strikerOpen Controls
I missed it too 🙁
On purpose 😎Open ControlsYou held out, good man. Its the right call really, better to make a decision with more information at hand.
Open ControlsYep, I'm happy I held out too. A couple of goals or an aggravated Aguero injury and we have a quality striker playing at home to Stoke next week.
Open Controls
You can't make 0.1 up from Naismith if he only rises 0.1. He has to raise 0.2 to make a return of 0.1 is you intend to transfer after the hypothetical rise
Open Controlsrises are also slower this year, not like last season. I suppose it should mean that team values will not differ so much towards the end. you still get -4 for each hit though..
adding 2 & 2 : taking a hit for team value pays off less this season than the previousOpen Controls
Did Fabregas not rise?
Open ControlsCould add a "Why" there.
Open Controlswas never going to.
Open Controls250k transfers in for 0.1m increase. Bit steep.
Open Controls
No, presumably because his NTI was not high enough...
Open Controls🙂
Open ControlsOr, because FPL broke.
Open Controls
Fabby didn't. Naismith rose to 5.1 and will prolly rise to 5.2 but not sure when as the price rise algorithm appear to have changed and we're not sure how.
Open Controls
Moin - something like Silva, Lamela and Wickham to Ramsey, Siggy and Naismith would help get you back on track as well as giving you money to upgrade Rivière if he doesn't produce or your defence.
Open ControlsLooks like we are on are way to another victory in the comp 😎
Open ControlsWho are we playing? We have 2 fixtures 😕
Open ControlsOh dear...looks like Thomas has messed this up
Open ControlsNot again. 2 weeks wasted 🙁
Open Controlsi think he did it on purpose..pretty dumb tbh.
Open ControlsThat's how the draw is in the real thing.
Open Controlsi am the captain of the team not playing this week because you have two fixtures, when i submitted my team earlier in the week he replied saying i don't have a game till next week..so he was aware of it
Open ControlsBut that isn't what happens in the IPL
Open Controls
Some teams have byes. GW3 has another team with 2 fixtures.
Open Controls
I have held onto Arnie... I am not sure if I should have or not.... Especially having dropped to 6.4... Do you rate him?
Open Controlseveryone get naismith lol
*cue naismith goal vs chelseaOpen ControlsI can see it happening, and my god it will be annoying.
Open Controls
I think Hazard is more essential than Costa. A 352 with Rooney and Kun is what I'm looking at. Front seven of:
Hazard Ramsey Sterling Mirallas/Eriksen Siggy
Rooney AgueroOpen ControlsI'm still trying to make sense of the Rojo acquisition, who is also best suited as LWB, when Shaw has the position nailed down, well supposedly. As a CB Rojo is notorious for picking up cards, getting caught out of position from his meandering attacking wanderings, think he may even have been the most carded player in the past 2 years in the Primeira Liga.
So this brings the potential transfer of Di Maria into the equation. Arguably his best position is a left wing back / left wing, which will not bode well with either Shaw, Januzaj or Young. Yes he can play CM but this position may hinder his pace and attacking prowess.Open ControlsDi Maria had his best season ever playing as a CM at Madrid last year though
Open ControlsRojo is a much needed CB/LB cover. Di Maria is a much needed winger if LVG wants to utilise his preferred 433 formation.
Open Controlscan you link me somewhere where LVG says he prefers 433
cheersOpen ControlsHe switches between 433 and 3412.
Open ControlsGoogle 'Louis Van Gaal philosophy' loads of articles in there. He is quite the football philosopher if you want to spend some time looking into it. 433 is certainly his thing.
Open Controls
He's a large fullback, so he should be well suited to play that LCB position. As for Di Maria, I have no idea. That transfer is truly bizarre. I guess he could play RWB.
Open ControlsI thought DiM is primarily a winger - can't see clearly how he fits into a 352 system - can he really operate as a wingback? If so then Shaw is superfluous except for League Cup ties and flat-track bully fixtures.
Rojo is, bottom line, an upgrade on Smalling. Hardly the 'final piece', but a back line of Jones, Evans and Rojo ought to be a bit less scary.Open ControlsSo you think Shaw gets nailed on LB whatever happens ?
He needs competition, LVG is trying to say to him that you need to perform to be picked orelse you will be rotting in the subs.
Thats great if you ask me.Open Controls
What is with that face Siggy is making in his FPL portrait? Just noticed that.
Open ControlsSchurrle will score a brace in GW 3. Bookmark this.
Open ControlsNot many differential midfielders putting their hands up to be picked, or mid priced strikers. Was hoping to move Mata to a bandwagon if he fails today. Maybe Lamela will do something
Open ControlsHate to state the obvious but United are going to implode and go bankrupt, sure i might be a bit biased in saying that but look at their stupid spending combined with their still existent loan debt... 120k pw for shaw, 50 mil on two defenders... 30 mil on herrera, and apparently soon to come 100 mil + in signings including Di Maria, benatia, Blind and co. all on ridiculous wages....
Open Controlsso same as all the other top european clubs?
Open Controlsmost of the big spenders in europe have owners who'll bail them out, the glazers don't have a cent.
Open Controls
Do you know how much money United earn each year? its all very well stating current depts and spending habits but its meaningless if you can't measure it against gross earnings.
Open ControlsCurrent Debt is 390 mil, Revenue Last year was 150 mil, now add in ridiculous spending (and huge additions to wage which will crush revenue) in and see what's going to happen as revenue will drop with no UCL... Now lets see what happens if they miss out on UCL again.. Disaster...
Open Controls
United do have the resources for this...
The problem from this kind of spending comes 2-3yrs down the line when it becomes very difficult to move the flops on.Open ControlsExactly they can afford it for now through loans.. they have no money, and with 390 mil debt, and 150 mil revenue last year when they had UCL, it spells trouble without it and with these huge costs their adding..
Open Controlsthey have huge commercial revenue, TV revenues for the whole league were massively increased last year (all the teams are spending - even Everton can afford 30mln for lukaku), and they signed a monstrous 750m sponsership contract.
they have the resources. debt is manageable.Open Controls
Question to Bojan owners, are you getting rid of him if he blanks again against Hull ?

How many Naismith owners benched Naismith?
Open ControlsIn GW1s Top 10K, 560 benched Naismith this week, 1080 played him.
Open ControlsHow do you know that?
Open ControlsThanks mate. Learning all the time.

- UFPL stick or twist?
Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic
UFPL stick or twist
What are your ufpl plans today. Do you have a cut off for switching out? How many heavy hitters are you are leaving benched?Open ControlsI'm having to keep mata and sterling benched. Had one of those lucky match days (85pts- gwk rank 28th). Six points is my cut off for keeping in the side - I'm going to play it cautious.
Open ControlsYou mean you won't even change one player?
Sounds like a mistake unless all attackers are filled & the 6 are defenders.Open Controlswould you bring in
Bojan for Giroud 6 pointer
Ince for Noble 6 pointerOpen ControlsNo. If stick - but as said I'm a cautious manager.
Open Controlsagree for those players....
would you do the same moves for yaya / studge the following day?Open ControlsMay as well play those if Yaya/Sturridge are options the next day.
Open Controlsmata / rooney may fail so wanted yaya / studge as back up to them...
not clear from what I said i realiseOpen ControlsThe more you play the merrier. More darts at the dartboard.
No point having back up otherwise.Open Controlsbut i cant see Bojan or Ince scoring more than 6 points and then if Mata / Rooney fail I would be stuck with them...
Open ControlsRisk/reward. In UFPL, you need to find a balance with a good start. You would think at least one of the United pair would get 6. Perhaps give 1 a game.
Open Controlsmaybe...
I have Jones, Bojan and Ince to choose from... which one would you go for?Open ControlsHaven't watched Stoke/Hull but one of them. Hull played Europa so Bojan perhaps.
Open Controls
I'm changing Williamson to to Rooney. All my attackers, defs and Mids did well. I'm not swapping out fab, haz, Naismith et all. Even had Guzan . Just one of those lucky weeks. Mata is the only one I'm considering bringing in as well - but I don't fancy sterling to get more than siggy's six.
Open Controls
keeping 6 or above
means Jones, DDG, Bojan, Ince stay on the bench.
will debate studge, Yaya depending on how Mata and Rooney performOpen ControlsI took a bit of a risk and swapped my captain from Costa to eriksen but just fancy him to wreck havoc today. Still have Silva or dzeko in bank if it fails.
Open ControlsI really don't know what to do. I am currently 2nd overall which is very overwhelming for a newbie like me
Everybody except one(koscielny) who scored 0 got at least 5
So have replaced him with Rooney but still have sterling sturridge and silva on bench so will see what Rooney does and if he does well then god knows what I will doOpen Controls
Good Morning Lads..
My Birthday today ;). Getting old lol
Just wanted to say thanks for all the good advice throughout the last 3 years ...you guys are all Legends.
Got Begovic Jones Sterling Eriksen Rooney and Bojan to play with 34 points already .. hope these guys can smash it for me.
Have a nice day all.Open Controlswhat are people's thoughts on Arnautovic as a fpl prospect?
Open ControlsHey lads, just got two questions:
A) Where should I go from here?
Krul
Jones, Azpil, Clyne
Lamela, Mata, Silva, Ramsey
Rooney, Costa, Bojan
_____________________________________
BENCH: Foster, Naylor, Wisdom, Marney
Currently have two FTs, looking at trading out Bojan and Lamela depending on how they play today...
B) Is Rojo expected to start this week? Currently have Jones on the field but Naylor as my first sub, so I'm hoping Jones gets benched...
Cheers!Open ControlsWhy would united bench their best defender, that logic...
Open Controlsyo.
whats happened to the price predict sites?????Open ControlsFPL changed something in their data links so they're fixing it for that.
Open Controls
Maybe because he can't play without a work permit.
Open ControlsI was referring to Jones, and yeah Rojo isn't available.
Open Controls
Nothing wrong with hoping haha
Open Controls
Good squad that. Rojo doesn't have his work permit yet but should be clear to start GW3.
Open ControlsSquad's Decent though, As you said look at taking Bojan out if he blanks again.
Open Controls
Baines has already been bombed for clyne moments before the latter's price rise. It's safe to say that plan worked about as well as saints going forward
Open ControlsWhat to do with Schurrle?
Stick or twist - if twist, to who?
CheersOpen Controlsone week wonder 😆
Open ControlsI'd keep. Everton are leaky.
Open ControlsYeah, that's what I'm planning on doing. FT for Costa-->Aguero. Hopefully, Willian's out for a while. Can only help Schurrle's minutes.
Cheers TM.Open Controls
😀
In hindsight, it was absolute insanity......wouldn't have been too bad if I wasn't shipping out another Chelsea mid for Schurrle.....Open Controls
It's what I'm planning on doing, just wanted to hear peoples' thoughts on my situation. Calm down 😉
Open Controlsisn't he injured?
Open Controls
I thought he's getting a brace next week, so why would you twist? 😉
Open ControlsOh yes, forgot about that. 😉
He's just waiting to explode though......stats wise....:lol:Open Controls
I watched 3 of the matches yesterday and scored fairly well. Can't believe i didn't get one bonus point tho!
Open ControlsTeam link needs an update I think.
Open Controlsdone.........basically had hutton, fabs, costa, terry, siggy, krul....all points scorers....only one with bonus is wisdom on my bench!
Open Controls
Looks like the Serbian man beast is becoming a must have defender based off what we've seen so far. He could have racked up 30+ points last night! I can get him in but need to take a hit, and will most likely have to drop Eriksen
So thoughts on which mid to bring in under 6.0? Already got the usual suspects of Siggy, Ramsey, Mata, Sterling
Got Rooney, Costa and that flop Bojan upfront
Thinking of a punt on JWP or Ince? Any others?Open ControlsDon't bring him in.
Open ControlsHe usually starts off the season well, but is never a 'must have' (actually, no one is ever a must have). If you don't have him already, don't bother. Once the Capital One Cup and Champion's League commence, Mou's squad, especially the back four, will be subject to rotation.
Not worth taking a hit to bring him in.Open ControlsSuarez was pretty darn must have last year.
Open Controls
Sorry who's this player? :/
Open ControlsOh Ivanovic, dw, i get it.
Open Controls
Hard to know how mailed on they are at that price.
Ince might drop deeper if Hull buy anyone with the Long money. JWP is looking good now but might be rotated later. The most nailed on ones are often in the promoted teams, like Mutch.Open Controlsok ill hold off for now ... i dont mind taking hits when they are worth it btw. I'm a bit worried about Eriksen though, looked a bit off last week. See how he goes tonight I guess then see if its worth keeping him or not
Open Controls
Best mid 8 or under?
Eriksen, Lamela, Miralles, Tadic, ShurlleOpen ControlsDid Sanchez to Ramsey last night in a drunken haze.........people agreed Ramsey is the better choice now?
Open ControlsHe's been playing poorly but if he can keep finding that goal then yes. and compared to Sanchez definitely yes.
Open Controls
What are people's thoughts on bony? Looked off it yesterday. Wants out? Coming back to full fitness? I'd like to have a punt on him but seems too risky at present.
Open ControlsKrul/Foster
??? Clyne Chester/Naylor (Hutton)
Haz Rambo Sterling Siggy ???
Aguero Rooney ???
17m to spend
Strategy 1) Balanced: Ivan, JWP, Naismith
Strategy 2) 352: a 4.0 (or 4.5) def, Eriksen/Lamela (or Tadic), Naismith
Strategy 3) 433: a 4.0 def, a 4.5 mid, AdeOpen ControlsWC?
Open ControlsI like 1, not convinced by Naismith though esp. with fixtures to come. Have to have a chelsea defender though.
Open Controlsmore information required. very interested to see how the sp*rs players perform, and the aguero situation.
352 does tempt me, however in that formation one of the front 8 is always benched (e.g. Siggy/Naismith) whereas in the balanced approach, they play more often as Ivan is always playing.Open Controls
