Sunday serves up a trio of Gameweek encounters, with Thursday’s Europa League ties pushing Hull and Tottenham’s home fixtures alongside Man United’s trip to the Stadium of Light.

Events begin at the KC Stadium and White Hart Lane, with Steve Bruce’s Hull hosting Stoke and Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs facing a London derby clash with QPR. Fantasy managers will be focused mainly on the latter, with Christian Eriksen the top owned asset on show from the early kick-offs.

Attention then turns to the North East, with Louis van Gaal’s United outfit taking on Sunderland in a bid to get their season underway following the opening day defeat to Swansea. With a staggering 48% ownership, Wayne Rooney remains the headline act, while Juan Mata’s 19% ownership will be holding out for returns in order to stem a tide of sales that have already seen the Spanish playmaker drop in price.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    One of the worst games of football I've ever seen. United are so poor.

    Was worried about Mata doing a bit more but tbh,

    He got a tap in.

    Chadli scored two, he warrants more of a bandwagon

      Don't be ridiculous, it is the second game of the season. The system is not suiting the team not the players.

    Repost.

    Judging by the performance, Id say United need a good 7 players before the end of the transfer window. At the current rate, I doubt thats going to happen.

    Buy: Vidal, Di Maria (almost done I hear), Blind, Hummels and a few to replace the below.

    Sell: Chicharito, Anderson, Nani, Young, Welbeck, Valencia, Cleverley, Smalling

      Yeah there are two sides to transfers, I wouldn't buy most of those in the sell category if I was a manager in the premiership

        Exactly. Maybe one of the promoted teams would be interested. But maybe those players know how good they have it so would kick up a fuss or pick up a special 'Fellaini' injury that would prevent them from being sold.

    De Gea / Myhill
    Filipe Luis / Wisdom / Caulker/ Naughton/ Duff
    Sterling / Ramsey / Mata / Eriksen / Sigurdsson
    Rooney / Costa / Bojan

    DDG --> Krul
    Luis --> Cahill
    Mata --> Fab

    4 pts hit?

    Why are everyone laughing at United now, after the transfer window the team could look very different. Even without lots of signings, replace Young with Shaw, Fletcher with Carrick, Cleverly with Herrera and Valencia with Di Maria.
    De Gea
    Rojo, Evans, Jones
    Di Maria, Herrera, Carrick, Shaw
    Mata, Rooney
    RVP

    Suddenly it all looks different!
    That's without say a Vidal, deJong, Blind.

    1 - Do I get rid of DDG?
    2 - Do I get rid of Austin?
    3 - Take -4 and get rid of both?
    4 - Do I get up at 7.45am ET for Burnley v Man Utd on Saturday?

    During the preseason, a lot of pundits were saying having 3 at the back means it takes a long time to build up attacks. That is the case with Man United QPR and Hull (sometimes)

    I think this is very important to fantasy this year; teams with 3 at the back won't score as many as other teams

    Eventually the penny will drop that there are a crop of average, big egoed players that aren't good enough for a side that want to be in the top 4.

    When that will be I do not know but the longer this is drawn out the more damage it will do to United.
