I have a pretty good rank, but I have 3 players within touching distance of dropping: Mata, Rooney and Terry.

Really don't know what to do considering they have very tasty next fixtures.

      Why is Terry dropping?

Ivanovic overshadowing him by miles would be my guess.

Because an average of 3 pts per game is not ok for a 6.5 defender.

If you think they'll score points, keep them. Simple as that. Don't let TV blind you.

The question wasn't mine, but I have those three as well. I think Terry will get the points, I think Rooney will, I'm really wrestling with Mata.

Thinking about getting rid of Mata, fair enough they have good fixtures but they are playing really poorly.

Same here. I won't get rid of Jones nor Rooney. But Mata isn't really convincing me at all.

He'll take longer to fall in price now. Not protected. About 1.5 times more transfers needed to fall now if I'm correct.

Some advice needed - and no not FPL-related!

If you see any of my other posts on here you might be aware that I gamble a fair bit, however I've recently hit a wall with football and am looking to branch into horse racing, a potentially more lucrative sport for those who know what they're doing.

I recently heard of this horse tipping agency called Value Horse Tips. They have an incredible track record of 34/34 profitable months in a row and have logs of all their bets/tips to prove it. Their point of sale is that they notice the night before races which horses seem over-priced and email them to paid members, because when they release the tips on Twitter hours later the bookies scale down their odds for the tipped horses considerably.

I haven't become a paid member yet but have instead been following along with the reduced-odds tips on Twitter for 4 days now, betting with small and cautious stakes until I'm comfortable with the service.

BUT, since I am ridiculously unlucky, in this period the VHT team have hit a losing streak, with only 1/14 of the last bets returning anything (and small place money at that). I am now really concerned. My £5 conservative bets have racked up to a total £80 loss - in only 4 days. 😡

My question is, should I carry on following VHT given their track record and potential to me a decent return? (Could either just be a bad patch or continue losing me more cash)

Or should I cut my losses and stop following this team, and resign myself to not getting my money back?

Sorry for this long and selfish post, I'm just stuck for a decision and this seemed the most appropriate of all the non-appropriate options I've got 🙂

VHT gives the tips for free later on anyway. Always make your own pics on horses. Tipsters are a terrible source of advice.

First rule of gambling, don't throw good money after bad.

I've had this problem while following some FB football betting tips pages, the moment you get on board they start losing. I'd give up on it tbh

I gave up gambling 5 years ago, around the same time I started playing FPL.
FPL gives me the same rush (sometimes) but is completely free. I think subconsciously I knew I had a problem with the gambling, so I just quit..cold turkey.
I was always boasting about the wins I had, but never mentioned the 3,4 or 5 losses I had before the win.
Nags, golf and footy was my thing.
So glad to be away from it now. Not judging you at all and don't mean to sound preachy.
But quit gambling is the best advice I would give you.

Mate been Gambling on horses for years its one of the hardests ways to make money even with the best inside knowledge. The vast majority of horse racing tipsters are useless and just tip up favourites for the sake of it, anyone with the slightest knowledge of racing could do wat they are doing. The best tipsters if u want to follow racing are hugh taylor on the attheraces website (Puts up tips around 10 each morning) and Tom segal (Pricewise in the racing post). However if u want to have a chance of making money from it, its like anything u need to work hard, study form, watch races and make ur own judgement, if u expect to make easy money by following other people's tips u will lose a lot more than u will win.
The key rule to gambling is to never chase ur loses go away and try make it back wen a good opportunity arises again, clouded judgement leads to bad decisions. If I were u I wouldn't get bogged down on having to get ur money back, if u see good opportunities over the next few weeks or months use them as a basis's to getting ur money back.
My key element to having bet is value. U need to be getting value for ur money. If u fancy something but think the price is too short, then its usually not worth the riskI hope ur luck changes mate but best advise is not to panic and don't chase ur money foolishly.

Alright, since I was convinced yesterday to do Costa>Jovetic and CAPTAIN HIM as well as start Dummett I'll probably have a seizure any second now, so Jove>Costa and Berahino>Naismith with 2.4 ITB for -4 pts?
    Lloris (Gilks)
    Debuchy Cahill Clyne (Dummett) (Chester)
    Siggy Ramsey Sterling Hazard (Cattermole)
    Rooney Jovetic Berahino
I just want to get this decision over with and not look back on the one that has costed me 20 points and will be 2 transfers.

Latest word from FISO Boffin on price tool:

"Unless something changes on the FPL site CTC will not be anywhere near as accurate as it has been (ditto for the other sites).

I plan to improve it as best I can so that it can serve as a guide but the margin of error will be quite high."

TFPL will be similar I assume.
