I reckon Diouff could be a really good signing over the next few week.

he looks better on the counter though...stoke dominate possession in their home games, so he may not be as effective...in fact they are really struggling atm for goals

I wouldn't buy him, if he was in the Naismith price bracket I think I would though.

Don't agree. Outside of his 60+ yard run against the run of play, didn't see that much else

This. The only sniff of goals he's had in three matches. And that required comical defending from three City players.

and how come kolarov slowed his pace down as Diouf approach the last defender, then sped back up again when he realized he wasn't getting stopped? by then he had no chance of catching up. thank you, kolarov 😀

I am slowly starting to get my head around the new price rise/ fall situation. ( I think )

It has stopped me kneejerking. This is a good thing.

It has stopped me over-obsessing about team value. This is a good thing.

It has reminded me that points are WAY more valuable than team value.

It has freed up some time for real life. ( nah, who am I kidding 😉 )

Hi Viper. In a nutshell, TFPL and FISO are just guessing atm. Our advantage over the "casuals" has been taken away.
I think FPL saw what an advantage building TV was and has taken it away so the masses can benefit.
Can't blame them really, they need numbers.

Price rises have slowed down then? That actually suits me fine right now, im very much in casual mode.

Yeah that's how I saw it. Now casuals can keep up with us more easily. I didn't play for TV at all but was on good transfers early and profited. My TV by my WC was 116 mill and I was able to field such a hench team that really are up a lot of people in my money league in the closing stages.

i think that if you have aguero you shouldn't transfer him out if you can get costa in for someone else. i have costa+rooney, and i'll be getting aguero in for rooney for GW6 when the city fixtures turn better

      1. Viper

        1. cramps
          • 12 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

tough one as rooney's fixtures are miles better. i'm happy to hold rooney for the next two and then make the switch, but i am comparing him to aguero and then the fixtures really speak in rooney's favor. at the moment i think rooney to costa is a good move, but only if you have no other transfers that need your attention. although united isn't playing great, rooney is still likely to be involved if they do score

I was able to get out of the Bojan move without too much drama. I did Mata to Siggy for GW2 then with a hit going into this week downgraded a defender and took a punt on Ballo up top alongside Roon and Costa. I'm looking pretty good in my money league and have 48 points this week with Sterling, Ballo, Ramsey and Debuchy to come.

Having a good gameweek so far. 43 points with chambers lovren hutton sterling ramsey sturridge still to play. I think it is time to ship out the Roonpig though to avoid a price drop? Have Costa and sturridge already so who do I replace him with. Could do with freeing up cash to strengten my defence.
Atm it is Lovren Chambers Hutton(bruce wisdom). Any suggestions?

Adebayor or maybe even Pelle who has now found his scoring boots and has fantastic fixtures. As for the D, I'd trade Hutton for Janmaat who looks dangerous, maybe Lovren up to Ivanovic, Chambers to Hulls Robertson.

I am considering rooney> diouf and bruce>ivanovic. Want to take a 4 pt hit max. I am .1 short for Pelle so diouf might e the best option. I know Naismith but I dont think he is nailed on in the long term.

I'm hoping after today's leaky performance Dummet may well be re-installed to the Newcastle back line. Any one agree or disagree? I think I'll leave that for now.

I was happy with Caulker finally getting me some points worth talking about today but my plan was to ship him after this week. With just 4.9 I'm thinking of getting Wilson due to their fixture run. Any reason to believe he'll lose his spot? Any other suggestions for 4.9 or less? I have Wisdom, Dummet, Debuchy and duff as the other 4.

    Cheers fellas!

I have Wilson from the start. Was a bit worried about him. Checked Stoke forums and their fans are 50/50 on him because they still love Huth.
But having watched him, I think he's a 1 mistake per match kind of CB and the rest of the time he looks solid.
I've always liked him playing for Ireland too, one of our more trusted players.

      So, I say yes.

    Repost for @Merseyside Red

    Reasons to WC this week...

    1. Switching two defenders will properly solidify my uber D for a while. Can bring in the risers for the mean time to make money in those spots.

    2. Rooney will drop .3 for sure. Can switch him for Costa, ride the rises and bring him back in at a lower price. Add Sturridge to this line of logic if he blanks as well.

    3. Pelly was obviously taking shite and doesn't trust Jovetic. Can bring Naismith in to ride the rises and most likely bring Ade in in before the GW.

    4. I may want to go 352. And I could make money on two midfield spots in the mean time as well.

Doesn't seem so silly to me.

      I don't think Rooney will drop 0.3M
You should give Jovetic one more week

Those who WCed last week are probably crying.

Too many unknowns atm to consider WC I think unless your team is in shambles.

Not sure about the price change situation. .3 is quite a bit, especially given QPR is the next fixture. Also seems price changes don't occur as regularly this year.

Players won't rise like they did in the past. Siggy has 700k NTI and has only gone uo 0.4

I know this is knee jerk central but help me out 🙂

Costa is too good not to have right now, should I sell Rooney or Aguero?

Rooney. United are just so pathetic right now even with these really attractive fixtures. Have no idea how they're gonna be when they face an actually threatening team.

Really hoping we get him. He must have some plan for the striker position and I'm hoping it's not Sanchez.

Ivanovic was defensively suspect yesterday as usual. His positioning for Naismith's goal was awful, and his marking of Eto'o for his goal was non-exisistent. Let's hope he's dropped soon once Luis has fully acclimatised.

Mourinho won't drop him for a while I reckon. Azpi will be the one to go.

i have Sterling already, no Chelsea and Spurs mid
if switch out Mata will get 1 of mid from these 2 teams
anyway, after international matches just decide, don't want waste my FT

Mata to either Fab, Sterling, siggy, Ramsey or Silva depending.

    decisions of the week:

    1) didn't take a -4 to bring in Dummet and Aguero for Jones and Costa (saved the FT), but man was I it close

    2) put the armband on Siggy last sunday morning and never tinkered with it

the less i do, the better it is (opposite approach from my horrible last season) 😀
