Looking at the Crystal Palace fixtures , some really tasty home games

Their lineup y'day Mariappa and Kelly started as RB and LB respectively and Ward shifted to CDM . Is that move something permanent from Warnock??

    What are Dzeko owners doing?

Seriously considering Dzeko > Ade (if he looks good again tonight).

Dzeko is now a rotation threat, is not in good form & has Arsenal and Chelsea as his next two fixtures

In the last two GWs my strikers scores have been..

    Rooney 2, Dzeko 2, Austin 0

    Rooney 2, Dzeko 1, Naismith 6

Hull City in Bid for Aston Villa Target Tom Cleverley

Steve Bruce told Sky Sports News:

"There has been conversations between the two clubs and we did have some sort of offer, but where we are up to between the two clubs I am not too sure because I have been away in London.

"If there is a deal to be done to try and get somebody like Tom then of course we would be interested."

He'd be a good signing for Hull looked very decent at Wigan on loan and then half a season at United but he's lost his way with his confidence much like the majority of that United team. Steve Bruce will fix him just like he did Tom Huddlestone and actually fair play to Brucey a midfield containing Hudd, Livermore, potentially Cleverley is good for English football right? They aren't world class but at least he's trying to give English players game time.

You have to say so far understatement of the year would be that LVG hasn't quite got United ticking. Plum fixtures on paper but 2 points from 9 and looking seriously average and I know new signings new system etc... fact is this a club of United's size and stature cannot afford (perhaps literally financially) another season of sub-top 6 football and he is under serious pressure already. This international break might do them the world of good - Rooney going off to captain yet another average Hodgson inspired England, Van Persie doing likewise for Holland a few goals for a couple of them training amongst some decent fellow internationals might inspire them to come back and drag the rest of the dross in that side up the table.

I'm far from a United fan so it doesn't bother me per se but its all got a whiff of trying too much too soon and this wasn't the season to try that as I say they can't afford another non top 4 finish. Van Persie, Rooney, Mata, Di Maria are all world class footballers playing in a very average side (some potential) at the moment but it's up to these guys to get the best out of the more mediocre players in that team - Rooney especially as captain. Sir Alex didn't always have world class players but he was able to get the best out of what he had because the more talented in the side always carried the team through and inspired the rest. As I say international football for United might not be a bad thing injuries aside.

As a united fan the start has been disbelieving. Not just the results, but the standard of our passing has been so bad it's been unreal to watch. We could easily have lost all three games and you have to wonder how long he'll persist with a system that simply is not working. With blind, shaw and rojo in the back five in a fortnight things will surely look better. But if they don't we look likely to be in mid table all season.
