        Logical but I thought Chelsea defenders were season keepers. I could buy Azpi then after CFC fixtures get better

                he might fall over the break, but i have decided i won't waste my transfers on chasing TV this year. i did last year and it made me some extra cash, but it was really all for nothing when the players i wanted after new years were all cheap anyways. ramsey, lallana, eriksen, cabaye, ade. not gonna say it'll be like that this year, but we already have a few mid price options scoring as well as the big guns. terry is a good shout for the entire season if he can keep playing 80-90% of the games

    Hey, mods and members, is there anyway to filter out players in player stats? Say, selecting defenders for KPI attack and sort them by minutes per attempt in the box, how to filter out all those who have not played at all or have 0 attempts?

    1. Mílanista
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

      If you create a table you can set conditions so that it excludes players that don't meet certain stats.

      1. Camp No No
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 5 months ago

        Yeah, but that KPI attack table is pretty good one as it is, and it's huge trouble to go through the list and find all the same factors to my own table. Well, not huge trouble, but trouble, relative to just filtering players out from a table that already exists.

        1. Camp No No
          • 12 Years
          11 years, 5 months ago

          And it's just one of them, there are many fine tables there in the player and team stats sections.

    Just curious again about this whole team value wildcarding business.

    Does it not make more sense to put in the likeliest price risers even if it means having money left in the bank for the duration of the break?

    So for example, even if you fully intend to have, say, Hazard and Fab (assuming their prices stay the same), would it not make more sense to have Dyer and Schneiderlin, who are both more likely to rise over the break, with no intention of keeping, then switch back over on the final day?

    I'm of course talking about a hypothetical situation where I may have hypothetically activated... 😐

        Cheers. Just wondered because I see a few 'complete' looking WC teams. When in fact I'd imagine the best thing to do would just to put/keep all the probable risers in and create a final team in the days before GW4/5/whenever.

      That makes sense. You probably want to target players who will get 0.2 rises and shift out those who will drop and buy them back cheaper later

    4. Pinky and Brain
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 5 months ago

      Course it does. However don't lose players on who you gained value and what to keep in team. For example Cesc - bought at 9.0 now 9.2. You sell for 9.1 and then rebuy for 9.2 so you lost 0.1. You can also sell players who are likely to fall like Rooney and then buy just before deadline for less money course if you want to keep them.

        Well, have a wildcarded team so trying to gain value.

        Got only 1 midfield slot free. Ramsey's gonna be a part of my longterm team so was thinking of getting him in. Alternatively, can put in Schneiderlin there (hopefully get a .2 from him and remove) and upgrade Hutton to Ivanovic (also for price rise purposes only).

        What would you recommend?

          11 years, 5 months ago

          That seems like a no brainer to me!

          I might even consider seeing if you can keep both Ramsey & Ivanonic in your team and try downgrading elsewhere?

          Who else is in your team?

          1. WHY ALWAYS MESUT?
            • 12 Years
            11 years, 5 months ago

            Currently:

            Lloris - Guzan
            Moreno - Wisdom* - Ivanovic - Chester - Clyne
            Fabregas* - Dyer - Sterling* - Siggy* - Schneiderlin
            Costa* - Aguero* - Naismith

            Out of these - Naismith I brought in at 5.2 (so .1 up). Ivan I brought in at 7.1 (even atm). Rest were all bought at their original price.

            * guys with a * are people I want to keep in my team at the end of the WC for sure.

            I could clear the goalkeepers to two 4.0 ones for now (only put in Lloris / Guzan to try and catch a rise if possible - don't want either in my team at the end of the WC). Still short on Ramsey + Ivan by .7. If Ramsey doesn't rise, I was thinking of keeping Schneiderlin there to try and get a .2 rise and sell back quickly for Ramsey.

            Chester, Clyne are both up by .1 so hoping they get .1 more this week maybe. Don't mind holding on to them in my team anyway.

              Not a problem!

              In that case I would maybe thinking about having to 4.5 keepers, Krul and someone else? That should free up some cash

              Maybe do Moreno -> Naylor after price changes to free up more cash there as well as Swansea def looking pretty good atm. It depends how much you want to hang onto Ivanovic in my opinion!

              What I'd personally do is hang on to Moreno, Ramsey and Ivan if possible, and downgrade Dyer to someone rather cheap! Zaha may not be a bad shout now he is at Palace! He has a good record there.

              Aguero is also always a 50/50 one with me as he is at risk to injury and rotation. Sturridge may be a better cheaper alternative.

                Haha thanks!

                Well, think you misunderstood a bit. Definitely not planning to keep Ivanovic post the WC. I think he's fantastic but I don't see him getting those kinds of returns that often. Hopefully I'm right and don't regret it later!

                I was only getting him because well, he's going up by .1 tonight I feel. And I think he may get another .1 on top of that soon.

                If Ramsey isn't going up tonight, I'm cool with this. Trying to factor in Ramsey just in case he is though.

                  Oh yeah! My bad! Haha.

                  In that case you're in a strong position benefit from the price changes as much as possible and go from there! You may find you have more finds to bring in better players.

                  I'm still deciding whether to play my 2 free transfers tonight or not!

                    Yup - that's the idea.

                    Well, let's see. Here's praying Ramsey doesn't go up otherwise it'll all be for nothing.

                    I'd do them in your place but injuries are always worrying during int break.

                      Yes, that is an issue, according to totalFPL he looks set to rise :/

                      Yes, I agree with you. Putting into into perspective, If Sterling doesn't get injured then I'll really regret not doing the transfers, and in worse case I can just transfer him for someone else for a -4 hit. Or bench him.

    Is there any advantage or difference in WC'ing in this international break or in the one in October?

    If TFPL and Fiso get more accurate with time then surely it makes more sense to wait until the 2nd break to try to build value?

    Hit the wildcard after an incredibly average 44 points. Any feedback is greatly appreciated:

    GK: Begovic, Krul
    DEF: Duff, Janmaat, Clyne, Jones, Baines
    MID: Henderson, Siggy, Sterling, Hazard, Sanchez
    FWD: Naismith, Jelavic, Costa

    I've gone heavy in midfield because I feel with the fixtures and strikers as they are heavy investment can't currently be justified, in addition to the fact Sanchez is basically a striker atm. Other than that I've gone for balance to retain flexibility, with nailed on defenders and Goalkeepers to give priority to forwards and strikers for transfers.

    Just some thoughts over the weekend:

    Rooney will manage ten goals and assists over the season.
    MAN CITY COVERAGE IS NECESSARY despite their defeat. They will definitely finish in the top 4.
    SPURS COVERAGE IS NOT NECESSARY. They haven't played so well thus far, (lucky to beat us) and again they have their issues against the bigger sides.
    There seem to be a lot of good option strikers who are performing in the 5.0-6.0 bracket. At least there are much more than those in the 6.5-8.0. In the lower bracket: Naismith, Chamakh, Weimaan, Berahino, Ulloa, Jelavic, Agbonlahor. In the higher bracket Pelle is the only striker to score a goal.
    The same theme can be seen across the defence where the only player who costs more than 5.5+ and is in the top 10 scoring defenders is Ivanovic.
    From this it seems to suggest that we should spend our money, mainly across the midfielders with 3 of the top 5 scoring midfielders being 8.5+.

    When did FPL become so knee-jerky in flagging players as injured?

    Flagged Costa based on one unconfirmed report from the Sun!

    Then, they flag Mata for coming off with cramp!

    These flags have major repercussions for price changes and if they just waited for official word from the club they could avoid it.

    Maybe they would be better only acting on official reports from the clubs themselves.

    Hmm, I'm always tempted by the early WC to get team value.

    Thoughts on activating to go:

    Mata -> Sterling
    Jovetic -> Naismith
    Terry -> Ivanovic
    Hutton -> Moreno
    Wanyama -> Dyer (just to catch the price rise) -> 6.0

    Thoughts on Lovren > Moreno?

    Lovren looks likely to drop to 5.4 and Moreno will probably rise this week. I think both are undervalued but don't want to lose value & miss a potential rise.

    Is it worth it with a FT?

      Yes, I can see the logic there. Depends what the rest of your team looks like!

    Krul / Foster

    Debuchy / Jones / Shawcross / Coloccini / Wisdom

    Mata / Ramsey / Siggy / Eriksen / Tadic

    Costa / Rooney / Naismith

    2 free transfers:

    I'm thinking: Debuchy -> Clyne & then Eriksen -> Sterling
    and I'm thinking do it tonight to benefit from price changes, worth the risk?

    Wow, I'm into the top 1k in the Telegraph game and only used one transfer (get 30 fixed)

    Don't think I've ever been that high in that game.

    Had a disasterous last-minute punt on Costa > Balotelli

    Krul - Elliot
    Debuchy - Jones - Naylor - Wisdom - Hutton
    Ramsey - Fab - Mata - Siggy - Albrighton
    Rooney - Jove - Balotelli

    1FT, 2.1m ITB

    My dream transfers would be Jove > Costa and Mata > Sterling for a -4, but agonisingly, I'm 0.1m short of being able to do that

    Any suggestions, please?

      down grade Albrighton to a 4.4 , I think his price may drop anyway.

      Debuchy -> Clyne will pretty solid and free you up some cash for those transfers in the future?

    2 free transfers:

    Debuchy -> Clyne
    Eriksen -> Sterling

    Do I do it now to benefit from price changes or is it not worth the risk?

      Not the worst idea for the squad either keeping fixtures/form in mind. I would do it but I'd be worried about injuries over international break.
