Tonight we’re running our second phase of beta testing on the new site.

Members who signed up before 6pm this evening can now get access to the beta test via this link. Use your existing login details to get access.

As before, there is a welcome article to greet you detailing what is new in this phase. For those who did not take part in the first test, there’s also a link to the original beta test welcome article with full details on the new features available.

Once again this test will run for a limited period. Please leave your feedback on the beta test site comment thread, not on this article.

Just to stress – this is a test of a new site that will be available to all – not just for members.

Many thanks to those who take part in this latest test.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Silva for me is a must have - City will be strong this season and he's the City player I think will score the highest points this season.

Rafael - I think he will start every game for Utd, SAF tends to stick with Full Backs and doesn't rotate (Gary was a banker for starting) and at 5.5 I think he's a must have

Barton is my other must have for me, at 6 mil he's going to be the engine at Brown Ale this season and will be getting lots of BP's IMO.

2nd time in 2 days I've heard barton is a must. At 4.5 he was a pretty good option. At 6.0 he's so not a must!

Hmm, Don't think Augero will take any points away from Silva - they should compliment each other in theory.

City is a hard one this season as its hard to find a player in their massive squad who'll actually play every game, don't think Johnson will get many starts.

James - I'm sticking by my Barton statement, you watch him this season - he'll be scoring above the 6mil he costs.

ya barton is a good shout and still deciding whether to start him off the bat or not. he'll surely be a threat w/nolan gone filling that void and will be taking on an even more influential role (bps) and will most likely be on pens.

No. Its either Silva or Yaya I think. And Silva is much better.

That said, if Tevez leaves, I dont see City destroying Swansea on opening day quite as much as everyone else seems to, so I dont think Man C attacking coverage is critical.

Fair comment James but I think the three youngsters City now have up front will have something to prove and will go all out to score and Silva will be their main provider. Prehaps my biggest downfall is that I have never rated Yaya in terms of Fantasy points...

Anohter player I think could be a cheap buy is Enrique from Newcastle but only if he moves to Liverpool; I wathced him quite a lot last seaosn he's a Glen Johnson LB capable of going forward well and scoring on ocassion but not too great in defence.

I think Bent and Given is plenty Villa coverage - if you must, maybe save a Million and get Albrighton over N'zogbia...

I prefer option 2 but perhaps downgrade Rooney for Zamora/Rodallega and get some Chelsea coverage - maybe A Cole/Benayoun/Malouda

The RVP v Rooney thing is tricky...

I've flipped back and forth between them and settled on RVP - mainly because he's fixture proof (as is Rooney) and always amongst the points... Rooney blows hot and cold...

...and I don't take pre-season games against minor MLS sides as any indication of form.

since it's so tight w/them, basically a coin toss which is why i'd go w/fixtures. i don't either vs. mls, but his fitness looks good which is most important.

I have been doing the same but settled on Rooney, Utd have a better mid set up to supply crosses, Arsenal are not a happy bunch at the moment and I want to see how they play as a team. PLus if you've been wathcing teh pre-season games you'll see Rooney is the fitest he's ever been and this could be his best season yet!

I'd say if Arsenal get Hazard/Benzema (wishful thinking maybe) and Mata (looks more likely), they will be doing pretty well this season.

I have neither RVP nor Rooney, slightly worried by that!

I remember everyone had Dawson nailed onto their teams right about now. Everyone. and he didn't feck all. Now it's Kompany.

The correct buy is Richards. There is really very little rotation risk there, he is nailed on right back and gets forward much more and a much bigger threat from set pieces.

Zabaleta? With Kolarov and Clichy fighting it out for LB.

I thought Kompany was the only nailed on defender for Citeh, together with Lescott possibly until Toure returns.

Yeah I was just going to say this! Zabaleta is a great player and Richards and him will be rotated throughout the season for sure. Kompany will start every game and if youre looking for more of a goal-threat then go for Lescott! Im going with Kompany personally as he's a season keeper and he should get plenty of bonus too.

I'd argue there is more rotation risk with Richards because of Zabaleta, he could play right back or left back but if they favour Clichy or Kolorov on the left his main chance would be to play RB

Zab is good yes. but he is 2nd choice. and I mean clearly 2nd choice. It's Richards spot and he is the clear first choice. Richards should start all league matches when healthy. Zab will play but imo will be more of a cup option. and it's worth the very small rotation risk as Richards is a much bigger attacking threat. Richards will outscore Kompany by seasons end.

      YAYA TOURE, NZOGBIA, VDV,

      ROOOONEY, SUAAAAREZ, Holt.

Some stuff to discuss other than RMTs:

What sort of player is Danny Grahams? Did anyone see a lot of him in the Champ last year? If so, do you think he'll manage in the Prem? I'm guessing he's not on penalties.

Also, Anderson. If Man Utd don't sign another CM presumably he'll be a guaranteed starter? Any Man Utd fans out there able to comment on this? If he is going to start I can see him being a bargain at 6.0.

Finally, Newcastle fans, do you think Barton is going to stay on set pieces this season?

Did Taraabt play for QPR yesterday? What kind of game he had if he played?

      Clematis:
A cross between a clementine, a tomato, and a lettuce. It has an acrid, buttery taste, and is toxic. The clemato, however is delicious.
      But also toxic.

Sorry if this has been brought up before but, is this a typo on the FPL site rules:

      Phase First Gameweek Last Gameweek
      Overall Gameweek 4 Gameweek 38

Why would the overall score start in GW4?

        What page is that on?

First impression is they're saying phase one ends on GW4, ie it runs from GWs 1 - 4.

When everyone talking about Silva is a must have, people are expecting flying start from MCY.
But, how about Silva vs Lampard?

Why so little Roonpig love? Ok, fixtures are tough, but he seems to be in good form.

Rooney looks ON TARGET preseason right? I am having him from the get go... the team is well settled, and i think we will start well for a change.

FANTASY FREAK, Lampard over silva is a YES... especially with forst 3 games for CHELSEA... look incredible!!

      Help me choose please.

      A) Taarabt & Rodallega
      B) Adam Johnson & Holt
      C) Duff & Rodallega
      D) O'Hara & Zamora

Rest of my team I have no other players from any of the above sides, except Kompany for City and Kenny for QPR

For me it has to be O'Hara & Zamora. Taraabt we don't know how he will deal with the premier league yet (although his fixtures are good on paper), Rodallega isn't that high scoring and Wigan's attacking play might suffer now Zog has left, Adam Johnson could do well but the chances are if he plays it won't be full 90 and you may well get a few frustrating 1 pointers from him. Holt same as Taraabt but fixtures aren't as good on paper.

I would say O'Hara is likely to score well and Zamora has the form and fixtures to do well too.
