Granville’s lackadaisical approach to the new campaign might just explain why he’s treading water. Missing deadlines and price rises, my ScoutCast co-host badly needs to introduce some organisation into his season if he’s to keep pace – the man needs a PA – get your applications in.

With Granville floundering, I’ve decided to lay down my Wildcard to potential rub further salt into his wounds. Is it a chronic case of “jerky knee”? Granville certainly thinks (hopes) so.

We chat over my Wildcard revolution, analyse how the heavy-hitting midfielders are failing to pull their weight and rinse through the usual regulars in the same disorganised fashion.

    Just went to have a look at how Aguero got on at Villa away last season. He didn't play. However, he did play in the corresponding fixture for City's next three games after the break.

    TOT/whu/MUN

    He got a brace in all three of these matches last season, as well as an assist against Spurs and West Ham.

      Any real point in having Krul as sub keeper? Newcastle are so bad defensively that I can't see when you're ever going to use him. I'd sooner have the extra .5.

      Nice team though.

        Yeah, good point. I'm thinking of bringing in Schmeichel as he rotates perfectly with Forster. Or yeah I could grab myself an extra 0.5 and play forster every week. What do you reckon?

          If you see any possible upgrades with the .5 then I'd be happy to play Forster all the time.

          If you don't see anywhere you'd use it then Forster and Schmeichel definitely makes sense, especially as you don't already have Moore from Leicester.

    Given the choice of these maybe not optimal choices, what would you go for?

    Use 1 of 2 free transfers on:

    Hazard -> Another big hitter (already have Sterling)

    Ivanovic -> Baines, so I won't have to think about it later.

    Any Liverpool fans reckon Gerrard will hit heavy over the next weekends? Or is that far fetched. I have not watched any games, so I have no idea if he has been lucky (e.g. penalties) or if he has played attackingly well.

          Fair enough. He'd be the one I'd bench personally, scared of a 1 point cameo. But if you think he'll either play or sit out the full 90 then go for it, and your other choices are probably the right ones to bench in that instance.
