We turn our attentions to the weekend’s nine matches now and delve into the data in our first member’s article of the week. Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham’s goalscoring midfielders arrive on our radar, whilst Swansea’s in-form frontman and Andy Carroll’s impact on West Ham’s style of play are also amongst this evening’s topics.
A clyne to azpi
B pelle to bony (or other up to 8.7)
C clyne, forster, pelle => heaton, azpi, bony (-8)
FORSTER (McCarthy)
Chambers Baines Naylor (Moore CLYNE)
downing ADM Haz Alexis (Boyd)
Aguero Austin PELLE
1FT, 0.7A
It would also mean benching chambers probably..
I do not see the problem with that

Hey chaps
Some advise on the following:
Sterling => Haz
Sakho => Kane
Clyne => Dmmett
Thinking Haz over Costa
To give me
Krul/Hamer
Terry/Baines/Dummett/Moore/Hutton
Siggy/Haz/Fab/Sanchez/Marney
Kane/Pelle/Kun
0.2ITB and 2FT
Thanks in advanceI believe an article to discuss the effect of City's formation on Aguero's returns could be very helpful. It seems he doesn't perform well when playing 4-4-2 with Jovetic.
It is interesting, but not very useful since we can't really predict pellegrini's formations.
Maybe we can link it with the injury situation? Whether or not Jovetic and/or Dzeko are available and who he favors when both are fit.
True. Hopefully Pellegrini will wake up, smell the espresso, and play Aguero up front with Yaya behind
agree jovetic should feck off
Best striker for 7.2 or below besides Austin ?
Berahino or Sakho if fit
Thanks
Carroll 😉
not going even close to this guy 😉
Well, I have Eto'o ...
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/939/Actually great shout if Naismeth out for long enough
Kane could be great value if he keeps playing
Morning, Deadzone. 🙂
Morning Doosra
Morning Doos 🙂
👿
😀
Afternoon Doos. I'm still chasing you - I've randomly assigned you as my big rival. 10 points behind you with Tadic in hand tonight 😀
The irony is you helped me pick Tadic 😆You're fecked. I have Clyne. 😉
Me too 😀
Well, you may be 7 points behind, then . 😉
GWAAAAN tadic. Do me proud son.
Swapped him for Hazard ... 😉
Good move.
Morning, mate.
Morning guys.
Forster / Elliot
Hutton / Duff / Ivanovic / Baines / Wisdom
Hazard / Oscar / Sánchez / Downing / Boyd
Agüero / Pellè / Berahino
1 FT, £0.7m in the bank.
Thinking. Pellè + Ivanovic >> Costa + Chambers.
Yes or No?Not for me
Reason?
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, anybody? Only 6.4.
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5595/Walcott, Sanchez, Santi, Rosicky, I do not like sweating every teamsheet
I've been monitoring him closely.
Sanchez the only one to have from the Arse.
I'm doubling.
Hope it works out for you. As long as the Arsenal keep losing. 😀
I have bad news for you ... 🙂
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/1151/Stats don't matter with Arsenal. What was Mourinho's comment on Wenger? 😀
Maureen is a bit of a loser, though. Don't take anything he says seriously.
I know you dislike him but Mou is a serial winner. And the comment re Wenger was...
"Specialist in failure."
😀
He did look very dangerous v manu.
He won't play such weak defences often though. (Sounds like a joke but it is actually true)Oi!
it's not an insult to say your 74th choice back four combination is weak 😀
😆 No worries. Was just having a laugh.
Mmm - those figures are now over quite a few matches. Don't disagree, though.
He's been absolutely on fire of late...
Might be worth a go if Chadli's out for a while.
Any news on Downing?
This, plus Duff and Baines
Just a mo ...
Chiekhou Kouyate is a “95 per cent certain starter” for the Hammers next game against Newcastle on Saturday.
The Senegal international return from international duty “utterly exhausted” and was ruled out of the Everton game a couple of days before the game.
However, a source told Claretandhugh this morning: “He’s 95 per cent certain to play against Newcastle and is one of those it’s hard to keep down!
“However, there’s no such certainty on the other four. Apart from Sakho they all have knocks from the games against Stoke and Aston Villa and haven’t recovered as well as they or we had hoped.
“It’s impossible to say at this stage but all of them look to be 7-21 day injuries. We may get one or two back, maybe none. We aren’t into false hope and need to be realistic.”Cheers, Doos. Where is that from?
Ah so those reports on Downing/Valencia are looking like bollocks then eh.
7-21 days isn't great as a Downing owner!
Downing to Oxlade-Chamberlain. Simples.
Cheers!
Morning guys! Time to wildcard this lot?
Begovic
Naylor, Baines, Dummett
Siggy, Tadic, Downing, Sanchez
Costa, Pelle, Aguero
subs: Gilks, Bertrand, Chester, Cattermole --- 1 FT, 1.0 ITBNo, pretty decent team !
Cheers. Just little worried as I've 3 Soton+Begovic, Cattermole and Chester. Would like to get rid of deadwood.
Looking at Chelsea's results, most of them are 2-1 or 2-0.
This is backed up by Mourinho's tactics during games, score early and kill it off.
Costa has been scoring most of the goals, which explains Hazard's drought. Fábregas has been assisting most of Costa's goals, so he has been scoring consistently.
Are we blind to the fact that Hazard might not match his previous seasons tallies?
Chelsea didn't have a goal scorer like Costa last season, so Hazard was relied on more to score goals.
The majority of goals he has scored this season have been from the spot, so remove them and it is clear he has been impacted by Costa's arrival.
You can argue until the cows come home that Hazard is only X points behind Fábregas. Fábregas, the cheaper one, who most got for 9M is doing better than our beloved Hazard, one of our favorite FPL assets of recent seasons. For many, the switch for Hazard will mean a spend of 1M more than they spent on Fábregas.
Both Fábregas and Hazard are fantastic options, don't get me wrong. I just believe people are being hasty with Hazard, trying to be clever and buy him before he has a haul. This is the point of the game, buying players before they score big, yes. But week after week we have trusted Hazard to return big points, but the best he can do is notch a goal from the spot.
Essentially, for Chelsea's run, I believe the attackers to own are Costa and Fábregas, for solid returns each week. Sure, there will be weeks Hazard out score both of them, but there will be times when Hazard blanks 5 weeks straight without a sniff of points. Fábregas is involved in everything, and just because he doesn't get double figures every now and again, it doesn't mean he is a bad pick. I'd rather have solid consistent points. Throw a defender like Azpilicueta into the mix, and the trio look your best bets for Chelsea's fixtures.Errr ....
Hazard(c) 22
Open play. I thenk you. Bought him for a hit.WBA handed that to him on a plate and he still nearly fluffed it.
Some fluff! 😉
This is very true. He made the least of an absolutely atrocious WBA performance. As did Costa.
Was more referring to just the goal in isolation, but yeah, Chelsea made a bit of a hash of that domination.
Fair enough 😛
Hazard has had 3 double figure hauls, Fábregas has had 2 but has also been consistent. I don't view Fábregas as a captaincy option as he is most likely to return 5/6 points.
Maybe if Costa were a clinical finisher. But he's not. I will say I don't feel great about my Fab>Haz transfer last week. But that could all change this week.
Ehhh?
He should've had a brace at the very least. Still not properly on form.
thanks.
still disagree.
Haz is frustrating at times because he is so wasteful. but he will get his points. problem is that thee have hardly been any penalties.
also your maths is wrong. those who had Fab for 9.0 could have sold him last week at his peak for 9.4 and buy Hazard when he was 10.0
so reinvesting the profit and basically only had to add 0.6 to get him.I just think at this moment in time and possibly the rest of the season, Fábregas is a better pick.
As for the maths part, I meant you're still spending 10M on him. Fábregas cost 9M, and I know it isn't a 1M gap when you buy, but Fábregas only cost you 9M from your budget, not 9.8M.
All you do is this:
- CPA front 3
- keep Siggy, Downing and a uber mid all season long
- Just rotate Sanchec, ADM and Hazzard in/out, in/out, in/out pending fixxy
Simples. 🙂Chelsea penalties in the last few seasons: 7, 11, 5, 8, 12.
The 5 came in the year they finished 6th.
Yaya, Gerrard and Hazard were not the top three scoring midfielder last season by accident. Taking most penalties for a title challenging side is a sure fire way to significantly boost your points.
Had Fabregas since 9m, swapped him for Hazard this week. No regrets whatsoever.I agree, and like I said, I think he is a great option. I just prefer Fábregas at this moment in time.
I think Haz will out score Fab over the season.
Will Haz out score Costa?
would not surprise me.
He may do on account of Costa not getting many BPs. Not confident though. You also need to take into account which player has the best alternatives, I'm eyeing up Rooney instead of Costa.
Just checked stats, there have been 6 games where Costa has scored 1 goal, he picked up a total of 3 bonus points from those 6. He's going to keep up an amazing rate of scoring to keep pace with other similar priced players.
same. much more assist and bonus point potential with Rooney.
Fabregas has been assisting most goals (He has been at his likely peak)
Haz has been below his peak.
If you've been watching games you would have noticed that Hazard has been getting sharper by the game. This is why he was already a bandwagon 3 weeks ago, even though he'd done very little at the time.
Such a nice day at work. No lessons to teach except an after school class in which we will watch Wallace and Gromit 😀
Make the little bar stewards think. Do a football quiz. 😉
Morning Doos, not spoke in a while been so wrapped up with the hokey pokey tournament, still on course for your best ever finish I see 🙂
Not sure the taxpayer would want to know this. Or the parents for that matter. 😕
It's OK I'm in Hong Kong so your taxes are safe. And the Wallace and Gromit lesson actually has a very good plan to it. I'll show you if you fly over 😀
On my way 😛
The learning style here is so boring. Memorising dictations. 5 pieces of homework a night. Blackboard and text book/ exercise books all day everyday.
I like to think of my video lessons as painkillers 😀You should watch "School of Rock" - great film, great teaching 😉
Who gives a flying feck about the "taxpayer"? 😕
Politicians' bollocks-speak.
It's our money. We, this community. Not the taxpayer's. They owed it - they paid it. End of.Yeah great...no wonder your country is going to the dogs.
Like New Zealand?
How would you know?
*grabs popcorn
We do business with your lot all the time. Hopeless. Unreliable. Duplicitous.
With one exception, to be fair.Oh, yes - and universally arrogant beyond belief.
😯
Sorry. Trade with NZ been a bit difficult, last two years.
Some bitterness slipped out there. Apologies.
Are you sure you didn't board the wrong plane? 🙂
Please expand. I'd love to know what planet this is taking you to.
You are a very difficult man. Like your compatriots. 🙂
As if you know me. 😕
What do you folks think of those transfers?
Eriksen, Tadic, and Welbeck to Sanchez, Downing, and Austin for -4?Do it although I haven't made my mind up about Austin yet. Playing for QPR is a major hindrance going on Saturday's performance.
@Doosra
🙂
Doos, need your opinion in something please
Well, hurry up. I am going for SSS, shortly.
Krul (Foster)
Naylor Baines Duff (Berty PvA)
Eriksen Tadic AdM Downing (Boyd)
Costa Welbz Kun
1FT 0.0 itb
I was thinking Baines, Eriksen, Welbz > Cresswell, Sanchez, Austin for -8
I have gotten all NOs. But my ratoinale is, I need Arsenal cover and guaranteed playing player into the festives. your thoughts and time are appreciatedNot a -8.
This week:
Welbeck to Eto'o/Austin
Tadic to Sánchez?Again, thanks for your time. Cannot afford it, my other thinking is PvA & Welbeck > Cresswell & Austin for -4. But it would mean no Arsenal cover
Hmmm. Really, in truth, you cannot afford both Costa and Agüero.
I really would not lose Baines, unless he is really crocked. Thanks Doos, have a great day
Random question but does anyone know why the media no longer calls Diego Costa "Diego" anymore like they used to?
Ah. 6-ish midfielder?
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5595/There are some questions, Doos, for which a stats table will not suffice 😀
Unlikely. 😉
Was MJ's diego question some kind of code. It seems the transition was seamless.
Previous discussions! 😆
So what is your conclusion then?
Downing to Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Sadly too expensive. Only 6.0 to play with! Starting to consider Bolasie! Please be fit Stewie
Bugger. Sorry.
lol
why wasn't chadli flagged earlier??worst sort of gameweek for many i think apart 4m those who tripled on chelsea plyrs.....newyz fingers crossed for southampton vs aston villa.....(have Forster Clyne Pelle).
Because the moron Pochettino didn't say anything about him in the press conference...
haha Billy.....TRUE!!
2ft, 0.3m in the bank. any ideas ?
Krul (Elliot)
Baines Bertrand Chambers (Wisdom Duff)
Sanchez ADM Hazard Siggy (SDavies)
Pelle Kun HKaneIf Downing was confirmed out, would you
a) Tadic, Downing, Welbz --> Eriksen, Siggy, Austin/Ings (-4)
b) Downing, Welbz --> Siggy, Austin/Ings
c) Downing, Tadic --> Siggy + 6.9m
d) sth else
?
Other players in my front eight are ADM, Haz, Boyd, Costa and Kun.D. Just keep. He'll be back sooner rather than later.
Well, maybe if he is ruled out for just one gw. Thanks!
So when is the member's cup open and where can I find entry stuff?
Later in the season. Article will explain.
Hello guys. Really no idea where to go next with this lot.
Begovic
Baines, Naylor, Bertrand
Tadic, Downing, Sanchez, Siggy
Pelle, Costa, Aguero
subs: Gilks, Bertrand, Chester, Cattermole --- 1 FT, 0.1 ITB
A) Tadic -> Oscar
B) Bertrand -> Azpi
C)) Tadic and Bertrand -> Fabregas and Yun (-4)
D) Wildcard or something elseDouble Bertrand eh 😉
Ehm should have been Dummett but would really appreciate any other comments apart from Bertrand fail.
If you only have 1ft and 0.1 in the bank how can you do the first 2 without a hit?
Should have been 1.0 in the bank..not my morning. 😀 I'm out ->
Ah in that case B looks good to me
B
It's what I want to do but I'm 0.1 short.
Nice team by the way, may want to look to shift Bego as well soon Stoke have awful fixtures.
Cheers. Would love to get Bego out also but surely not worth a hit. Bench feels a little thin as I have Chester and Cattermole sitting there.
I'd also like to upgrade Tadic for Hazard/Fabregas but not sure if worth a hit now. I think I'll keep Tadic for City match and see how it goes.
B)
Guzan
Rose,Clyne,Baines,Dummett,Wisdom
Di María,barkley,Downing,Sigurdsson,Oscar
Augero,Pellè,Sakho
Should i do
A)Barkely>Hazard
Augero>Costa
B)Barkley>Wanyama
Pelle> Costa
Rose> Azpilicueta (take -4 hit)
2FT
please suggest.Krul
Azpi Duff Chambers
Boyd Sanchez ADM Tadic
Welbeck Aguero Pelle
Lloris Clyne Diame Moore
1 FT 1.6M ITB
Planning to do the following for a 8 point hit:-
1) Tadic > Hazard
2) Welbeck > Austin
3) Pelle > Austin
Yay or Nay? Any other suggestions??Great freekick by Jedinak.
some positives for Jedinak keepers!!
anybody else waiting impatiently for d Southampton game like me to save u this gameweek??.....hehe(have Clyne Pelle Forster)
A brace from Guzan would be nice
lol.
Could be kicked out of LMS after this game week, having a stinker!
23 current safety score
Sitting at 24 after subs w/ Guzan and Berty to play, hopefully plenty of hits this gw!
Could be close pray for a 0-0
Going to be tricky with those 2 left. Most down there have a S'ton defender at least.
I know, ah well fingers crossed
Is Chadli and Baines > Oscar and Azpi a good move, or is it crazy to ship out the Everton man? (Leaves 0.0 in bank, which for some reason always makes me think trade is a good one!)
Current team: Foster/Guzan Chambers, Bertie, Baines, Duff, Moore ADM, Sanchez, Chadli, Siggy, Boyd Aguero, Costa, Austin (1FT; 0.8 in bank) » ReadSo I planned to do Pelle -> Austin, Chadli -> Sanchez this week with 2FT. I have already done the first tranny, but with Downing now a major doubt (from the rumours) I may look to ship him instead of Chadli.
I could do Downing -> Sanchez, but this would not allow to to get Azpi in for Bertrand, which I had planned to do for a while. I was thinking of doing Downing -> ADM which would leave me with the sufficient funds to do Bert -> Azpi next week.
So basically,
A) Downing -> Sanchez (without the funds to get Azpi next week)
B) Downing -> ADM (can get Azpi next week)Krul
Chambers Clyne Bertrand
Fabregas ADM Siggy Downing
Aguero Costa Pelle
Mannone Wisdom Moore El Ahmadi
1.4 ITB 2FT
Mannone, Moore and El Ahmadi not getting game time.
Try sort out starting 11, Pelle to Rooney and Bertrand to Williams?Who should be a priority to ship out?
A) Kaboul
B) Downing
C) NaismithNaismith.
What would you do with this team? 1 FT and 3.2 in bank.
Obvious transfer is Forster > Adrian (As a Naylor owner I don't like the Swansea double up by getting Fabianski)
Keeping Bertrand for one more gw at least as good options in Chambers Naylor Hutton in next gw.
And need to decide what to do with Pelle!
Forster (McCarthy)
Baines Bertrand Chambers Naylor Hutton
Sanchez Hazard Downing Siggy (Boyd)
Aguero Pelle AustinKeep Pelle. Getting Costa in would be my priority now.
Pelle-Costa
Very impressed with Bolasie. Might consider him as an option at some point.
