It’s “squeaky bum time” in the ScoutCast studio as Granville continues to chip away at my previously “unassailable” mini-league lead. My co-host stumbled through an injury-strewn Gameweek 12 with the honours, leaving me trailing and worrying that he’ll have clawed it all back by Christmas.

Pressing on, we flog the Hazard vs Fabregas debate once again and run the rule over a cast of budget strikers, desperately searching for the optimum way to spend the two transfers burning holes in our pockets.

We asses the week’s transfer bandwagons, look ahead to Gameweek 13 and take time out to tease Jonty on his Di Maria u-turn. We then combine “powers” to terrifying effect and prepare the ScoutCast XI for their Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round, having flexed its muscles to the tune of a 59-point Gameweek 12. Intimidating stuff.

    Morning all. My team is a sea of yellow and red and almost have to take a hit to put out 11 though at least I have £3.2m ITB.

    Currently have a GK, 3 defenders, 3 midfielders and 2 attackers that are definitely starting. Injured players are Rafael, Duff, Chadli and Welbeck. Assaidi is unavailable (loan)

    I'm hoping Chadli will play (has been rested in EL anyway so missing out indicates nothing) but doubt the others will.

    Fit strikers are Aguero and Austin. Mids are Sànchez , Hazard, and Siggy.

    Am I better off upgrading Assaidi (Mirallas? Fellaini?) or Welbeck (Rooney? Bony?)

    Thoughts appreciated

          I agree fwiw, especially with doubts over Baines. Azpi and Leighton just looks so good on a team sheet! Maybe in a couple of weeks time. WC looks GTG in that case

      I'm in the same boat... Krul Manone as keepers, Baines, Chadli, Sakho, Welbeck all injured. WC has cross my mind, but depending on the news today I may do one or two trade to quickly fix it and save the WC. What is your team? Do you still have your free transfer? how much in the bank?

    Let's try to summarise injuries:

    Downing - trained, according WHU fans likely to play
    Duff - "touch and go" according to his manager
    Baines - injury not as bad as initially though, but this weekend might be too soon. Big question is if he will be risked midweek while they have city right after. Unusable super resilient player, no him starting will not be a surprise.
    Krul - injury in training - rumours of a few games out, but unconfirmed yet.
    Chadli - no one really knows.
