We go head-to-head with Paddy once again this morning as the festive schedule now picks up pace. Our faith is placed in a couple of midfield differentials who are starting to find their 2013/14 form, whilst QPR’s main man up front is also called upon as Harry Redknapp’s side entertain fellow strugglers Leicester.

Our first stop is at Loftus Road, then, where two of the bottom three go head-to-head. Having struck three times in his previous two home encounters, Charlie Austin is clearly vital to the hosts’ prospects in the final third, whilst at the back, hopes are high of defensive returns given that the Foxes have failed to score in their last five. Paddy are offering 33/1 on Austin to score at least twice and the R’s to grab a clean sheet and we’ll stick our necks out and make this our bet of the week, handing over £4 for this one.

Next up, our thoughts turn towards the summit as second-placed Southampton welcome City to St Mary’s. Given that the home side have conceded just once this season, this one is far from easy for the champions but we’re backing Yaya Toure to continue the form that saw him score against Swansea in last week’s comeback win. City’s tails will be up after defeating Bayern in midweek and with Paddy prepared to offer 14/1 on Toure to score and City to earn a clean sheet, we’ll take a punt and throw another £3 their way.

Our final bet is saved for Sunday’s encounter at the Lane, as Spurs square up to Everton. Christian Eriksen’s importance to the Tottenham cause was underlined last weekend as the Dane produced a goal and assist in a comeback win at Hull and he’ll be looking to do the same against the Toffees. Paddy are offering 12/1 on Eriksen to score and the home side to grab a clean sheet and we’re going to back Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the tune of our final £3.

2 transfers for a 4 point hit done and dusted.

I'm about 50 points ahead in my ML but want to cement that lead (or extend it!) this weekend.

    Chambers > Ivanovic
    Pelle > Austin

I did the former last weekend after the Sunday matches and Pelle to Austin yesterday due to his stand out fixtures (at home to LEI and BUR in 2 of the next 3).

    Bring on the points!!

Aguero(c) would be a big differential this week it appears.

SOT are a decent team and have a decent defence, but this is City and this is Aguero we are talking about.

It's between him and Sanchez for me.

There is no "safe" choice this GW ... Anyone of Aguero, Costa, Sanchez, Hazard, ADM, etc could be the "safe" on in hindsight after the GW, but they're all good choices right now.
