As long as he ends up playing a midfielder, it's really hard to say, Bony or Benteke might be better options. Lukaku is a troll and highly unreliable.
Watch today's match and check his positioning and maybe based on that.
Use RMT until GW20, alternatives are provided.
I think Bony and Benteke are very good options.
Bony, Benteke and even Carroll are stronger option than Rooney IMO, no uncertainty over positions and with money to really bulk the defence up.
With Benteke or Carroll I can have a defence of Baines, Coleman and Zabaleta, that is some serious power and unless you plan to captain Rooney he seems a lot of money tied up at the expense of other areas.
If only Falcao wasn't there. I wouldn't even hesitate to bring him in

Yeah, I am definitely getting red of Kun but the 2nd transfer is not very straight forward. Would like to get Sanchez but that would mean to take out the only non playing midfielder which is Fabregas, which I want to keep for the season's length.

Downing seems to be getting lots of assists, which is boosted by Carroll being back
Sakho more likely to score, but at greater risk of rotation potentiallySakho. Alot of what Carroll gets will be the full backs.

Good news is that Aguero will probably drop to your currently selling value or less given his ownership amongst active players.
Can't say the same for Fab, but you'd just have to go with it if you decide to sell Cesc.

Costa over Lukaku, as the risk at a high rank must be ameliorated. Bony and Bentekke are simply not good enough imo, and Welbeck is being interfered with by the donkey.
Sakho to me has the highest potential of all the pretenders, with the most shots in the box, and a proven run earlier this Season.

he's the best certainly. The other 2 are also very good players so I wouldn't be totally confident in him starting every match over xmas. But then again there are few players in the league who I think will start every game! 😉

Lukaku is like a wind up toy. If he's facing goal and the ball is in front if him he's very good. If he's he's got his back to goal, without the ball, he doesn't work properly!
He is very young, and has been forced into a man's role this Season. He will be the one to have from January onwards, you watch.

I disagree. He is involved in a lot of Swansea's goals. You might say they don't score many, but as someone said yesterday, I'd rather a large piece of a smaller pie than a small piece of a large pie.

Do people here reckon it's wrong to take a hit for a defender if you have someone who can play and get 1-2 ?
If you fancy someone for a few CSs in the next 5 or 6 say and the one you're replacing probably wont get any surely the hit is justified even if it only breaks even this week. You're in better shape going forward than you would have been otherwise.
My thinking is that, in he premier Leauge, it's very difficult to predict who will pick up clean sheets in the premier Leauge. Thats why I wouldn't take a hit if you have a playing defender available
