With no early fixture this gameweek, we are forced to twiddle our thumbs whilst waiting for the afternoon fixtures. At least we have five 3pm kick-off’s to enjoy and, for most of us, see how our captain choices get on…

The bulk of which are at the Emirates today as Arsenal take on West Ham United. The fortunes of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Marouane Chamakh are the key things to look out for, as most of us expect the away side to get a drubbing.

Having been held there last year, Chelsea have what many would consider a potentially tricky away fixture at Blackburn Rovers. In this game is another favourite for captaincy this week, Didier Drogba, who has a great record against Rovers.

Another game which will be closely followed is Everton’s game against Stoke City. There has been lots of investment in Everton players this week all over the pitch. Leighton Baines and Tim Cahill both made the Scout Picks this week, Seamus Coleman remains high on the transfer in list, Ayegbeni Yakubu is also attracting some investment, and there is always Mikel Arteta lurking about.

With Carlos Tevez in Argentina, there perhaps not as much focus on Manchester City’s visit to Wolves this week as there would have been. Nor will there be many eyes on Wigan’s trip to Craven cottage.

Team news is trickling in by the minute, so keep your eyes on the comments to see what it will bring.

In the evening game, Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur, who have not won at Old Trafford in over 20 years.

Keep up-to-date with all the goings on in today’s Dugout Discussion.

For those of you that aren't watching.

Nani hand balled it and wanted a penalty. The red didn't give a pen or a free kick, the goalie put the ball down to take a free kick he thought had been given I assume, and Nani went up and hit it in.

Chris Waddle is such a t*at. Nani shouldn't get a yellow card for diving, in my eyes it was a foul but I can see why it wasn't given, certainly not a foul though. he didn't handle it on purpose so no he shouldn't be carded.

because the ref never awarded a free kick, the ball was still in open play. Gomez can't just decide to take a free kick if it hasn't been awarded, even if it should have been one.

In fairness, most people would have thought that, on form and on paper Arsenal v West Ham would produce a lot more points for Arsenal players than Man Utd v Spurs would for Man Utd players.

I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.

I felt the next best captain choice would be Chris Brunt, so I wouldn't have had Nani pegged for this week.

I'm a bit annoyed actually Morrissey.

This has been coming for a while now as we keep drawing games and Cardiff are on Fire at the moment.

I think we miss Buszaky in midfield and I just wonder whether the lads are concentrating on the unbeaten record and are playing not to lose rather than actually playing to win?

My FFS cup match could be a bit closer if Fabs gets the 3 BPs (which no doubt he wont!)

Its 24 (me) vs 35 at the moment. All his differentials have played. I have possible Fabs BPs (C), +4 points because he took a 8 point hit and I took 4, I also have 2 points to come from Foley off the bench and Elmo and Charlie Adam to play.

Going to be close that's for sure!

check out what i wrote pissed on wednesday morning in the early hours lads, spooky or what, anyone remember this? 🙂
    RoysBrotherJohnson says:
    October 27 at 3:31 am

the darkening is upon us, let all who be unholy transfer in boselli, and be cast down with the mennonites, and turn their back on the saviour jescus fabrecus. The dark one will run rampant sowing seeds of destruction in the Fulham rearguard, obliterating clean sheets with his shitty residue, own goals aplenty, assists apaucity, barren point returns shall lay waste to dimanche happiness, a festering foreboding will depend upon the land as the fabrecus returns one point for a 32 minute cameo cut short by the scithing wrath of the darkening’s hammy. Woe will be all who gaze on the flint of the gunners, in anticipation of a conflagration, cathartic stagnation will be thy deathbed.

And Boselli, oh dark one, will fade into the shadows to a price of 4 million, and another season will be dashed upon the rocks of despair. And on the shoreline yonder a light will shine, one of teasing hope, but fading, as the nani hits a second, and a third…a new kingdom will be born, and the old feud will drag its protaganists to hell, from whence, never to return….

so eh, yeah lads, captain nani, fabs is gonna do fcuk all 🙂

    lets get this clear

nani went down, it should have been a penalty but after the ref said no nani handballed it, he left his hand on the ball

gomez thought it was a free-kick as nani had clearly handballed it in front of everyone but the ref never gave it

gomez put the ball down ready to take the free kick but then as nani was hovering behind got a little unsure and asked the ref it was a free kick, as he was asking the ref nani took the ball and put the ball in the net.

linesman clearly put his flag up and said no goal, ref went over and over-ruled the ref

    baffling
