QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Foster, Myhil
    Ivanovic, Baines, Hutton, Yun, Wisdom
    Hazard, Eriksen, Downing, Sanchez, Albrighton
    Bony, Austin, Benteke

Thinking of doing Baines or Yun/Wisdom to Zabaleta
Piling quite a lot of money in defence but have the cash and don't want to change up my midfield/forwards

    Thoughts????

The way I see it is that he has had tough fixtures and it was entirely expectable that he'll bring low return during them. Now his fixtures have a turn for better, so if you've held him over the bad ones and have no urgent need to cash on his price - which I think about nobody should have - I think it's much wiser to keep him and play him. Even if he wouldn't score like a 9.0 midfielder, he is more than likely to outscore the other non-City defenders in the next 6 GW's.

The only thing I fear is that that fecker Mirallas destroys Bainesie's game like he did against QPR. But as long as he is out, or plays a central role, I'm happy to have Baines.

It's all fine if you already have him, but Arsenal's fixtures until GW23 make it less appealing to transfer him in now.

I think they have a good chance. QPR poor away, Arsenal didnt' play great today, but as whole they are having more big chances than any other teams.

Also Arsenal most shots in the box over the last 4 GW's while QPR have second highest shots in box conceded.

Caz and giroud have some form

On paper it looks good. Of course I could well be trolled.

Have exactly the right cash in the bank for Davis to Cazorla. Fate?

Gives me a very strong front 8 and lets me bench Downing/Austin this week. Would give quite a benching dilemma next week though.

Other options include Lukaku to Rooney or Baines and Davis to Zab and Silva for a -4

My other strikers are Bony and Austin, none really stands out to bring in for Lukaku, unless i go uber-cheap and bring in Kane.
Brought in Lukaku for Aguero as a punt vs QPR, my options if dropping him are anyone except RVP.
West Ham's next two fixtures are tough, so i'm avoiding Sakho/Carroll for now. Don't want Benteke or Cisse, so my options are Rooney, Falcao, Giroud or Kane. None look brilliant.

he's not and you are wrong

cb is built on partnerships. If you consistently change the players around it will never work.

Look at united, look at liverpool who have the same problems. Kosc and Mert were seen as a great partnership last season and this was because they played alongside each other for long periods.

      Consistency is key

Thats 3 performances. The partnership can cope against teams who sit bit and don't press the front line. Koscienly makes Mertesacker look good. Koscienly is quality, Mertesacker is awful.

City and Chelsea are the only two teams in the league that set themselves up properly . They both have strong defensive mids in front of their back four and Chelsea in particular are organised at the back . Mert and Lovren would not be found out half as much if Arsenal and Liverpool did the same thing .

Unlike other teams, the Arsenal defense gets very little defensive help from their midfield.

lovren is being asked to play with 4 cb's, with skrtel, with toure and all sorts. Awful management

Mert on the other hand has lost kosc through injury, hard to build a partnership with a player when they keep getting injured - chambers, monreal, debuchy

Fully agree tbh. The same applies for United and Smalling and Jones etc...

Shows how systems really can gloss playing ability.

Sideways, you'll cry your eyes out if Nasri outscores them next GW. He still was way closer to score than Milner.

It is silly to ditch Nasri for one of those..his FPL points potential is better than Milners and around equal to Silva's. Totally sideways.

    A) Siggy and Baines -> Sterling and Demichelis / Clichy (-4)
    B) Siggy and Baines -> Silva and 5.5m def (-4)
    C) Save FT

    Hey everyone. Taking the time to get some feedback if possible. Current team;

    Forster, Hamer
Clyne, Hutton, Chambers, Baines, N Taylor
    Oscar, Downing, Hazard, Siggy, Marney
    Austin, Costa, Bony

    2FTs, £5.7m itb.

I want to take out two of Siggy, Downing, Oscar and Bony.
I want to bring in two of Di Maria, Silva, Yaya and Falcao.
(Focused on players who'll play and deliver during Christmas)

Who would you bring in? If poss why? Thanks guys.

Struggling to pick a Chamberlain replacement

    - Nasri
    - Sterling
    - Di Maria

I was set on Sterling becasue of the fixtures but he's still only 20 and not a very good finisher. He didn't show much today to convince me to get him.

      Nasri is a no.
ADM - worry is the minutes he'll play in a few days
Sterling - looks like it'll take him lots of chances to score
