QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I fondly remember the days when you could make the generalization that it was all foreigners who dived, but it's as much the English players now as it is anybody.
The faking of injury and holding of the face is what annoys me the most though, I'd take diving over that any day.

Andy Townsend likes his "if he doesn't make as good as a contact, its in the back of the net." Or "if he scuffs that, its in."

    -12 transfer

    Costa (?) Oscar (?) Siggy (0) Jedinak (2) --> Downing (10) Silva (13) Austin (17) Hazard (?)

I guess my transfer paid off very well. Only thing is I changed captain from Austin to RVP. If not it would be an awesome gmwk for me..

Downing and Austin have nasty fixtures this GW, We are yet to see if Hazard outscores Oscar.

Will Mourinho rest hazard (on the basis that he said that no one would play every game over xmas) and if yes - when? Now that Citeh are chasing hard he wont want to give up points easily but...

I want to C / VC him and Sanchez next week but I am worried that both get rested. VC Yaya instead?

Perhaps put the VC on someone who was rested recently, e.g. Bony or Zabaleta (maybe not a defender but you get my point!)

Yaya probably unlikely to be rested given he is off to ACON in Jan and didn't play in last champions league match either.

    Forster (Mccarthy)

    Baines Azpi Naylor (Wisdom) (Moore)

    Hazard Sanchez Eriksen Downing (Boyd)

    Costa Bony Austin

Fabi in goal and Bony up front so plenty other Swansea cover and concerned with too much Swansea reliance despite the away win yesterday.

go for it... as long as you dont need the transfer somewhere else and have a decent 4th defender in case he gets rested for 1 week, they have great fixtures for the next 4 games and he is in great form so will only get rested not dropped

I think his one saving grace in that department is he doesn't tend to get sub appearances (like Clichy and Kolarov) if he gets benched he'll stay there meaning one of your subs will come into play, hopefully with more than a 1 pointer.

Fantasy draft semi final in gameweek 18...

    Pantilimon

    Debuchy/Mangala/Naylor

    Barkley/Lampard/Tadic/Lamela

    Giroud/RVP/Lukaku

My midfield and captaincy on are a concern. I could possibly draft in Johnson or Gomez. What do you think chaps?

Which transfer would you make this week?

    1) Baines to Debuchy

    2) Perez to Kane

    3) Wanyama to Silva

    4) Wanyama to Cazorla

    Thanking you in advance....

Have Arsenal changed their set up in some way that is resulting in this form or is it ajust another Cazorla form roller coaster?

Tough to call. He's taking a decent amount of shots and is involved. With injuries I can't see him getting rotated right now.

    Who to downgrade?

    1) Baines>Jones
    2) Costa>Giroud

Baines has good fixtures but has awful form and Mirallas is back.
Costa plays for Chelsea but isn't justifying his price. Giroud is playing well.

Morning gents. How goes it? Looking to put my cash to good use. Siggy to any mid. Already have Silva, Sanchez, Hazard. Don't fancy Yaya myself. How did Sterling look yesterday?

Sterling is playing well but I'd avoid him for now. Like Sanchez he looks tired. Cazorla is a decent option.

Yeah cheers man. Not sure I want to double up on them at the minute. Arsenal not looking all that great. Caz is looking good alright though

Eriksen or Cazorla. Sterling ran around like a headless chicken with no end product. I think the kid is knackered tbh.

PLayed a lot of minutes this year, if you include the internationals. Shame. That price and playing up top for pool. Eriksen might be a good bet alright. Im still finding it hard to warm to Cazorla. Esp seeing as I already have Sanchez.

Didn't see the game but Sterling seems like a good shout with initial fixtures. Have you considered Fab?

3 chelsea already so can't get Fab. Had actually forgotten about him a bit lol.

Saw the second half and Liverpool were poor going forward. That will hold him back, but pundits were saying pool were great 1st half.

He won't play both of the next 2 I think, but it's hard to say who will

erikson if you dont have kane
downing for the long term if you can tolerate CHE (A) next week

Yeah downing looks great. shame I didnt get him in earlier. Seems stupid to bring him in this week though. I dont go in much for cover but was thinking about ADM too. CHeers mate.

underlying numbers looked good for ADM and his price is quite reasonable now. will he get 90 mins next week? i would think so ...

Thanks Gnu. Non playing keeper may be an issue if matches are called off but Guzans next 3 after this week are pretty sweet so I dont think it's a priority. Still sitting on my Aguero cash and my team feels pretty average. I need a boost lol

Sterling fixtures look great but... I'm just not sure, reckon he's due a rest over one of the Christmas games.
A boost eh? have you tried a cheesy protein shake? 😉

Don't like the idea of a hit and Baines has to come up with goo this week, doesn't he!

Dont like the hit myself but festive period is jam packed. could do with some decent bodies in there.

Well it's tough at the top Badger. 🙂
Your team looks sound, you've got 3 to play including your captain and 6 pts off the bench, you'll be feeling better after tomorrows game I bet.

6pts I wish. Bony came on for a nice 1 pointer there. And Yun actually played 20mins. 1pt off the bench. Hoping my three chelsea lads can do damage alright

I would not take any hits this week, no idea who will play. Girould could easilly get a rest vs QPR.

It would be typical Silva to blank the next three games.

Yep. Thinking the same. Would be typical for Chadli to get a brace vs Leicester too

I think there is a little too much excitement over his goals. He wasn't the one up front and the actual strikers will be back before those three games are up. He's good if you have nothing else that needs looking at.

Chadli or Siggy to Silva or Erkisen.

    Which one though?

It seems a shame to sell Chadli given then he seems to be back in the team but I'm not sure any spurs mid will play all of the next 3.

That said, I'm not sure Silva will either and he's never been a clinical goal scorer, despite his brace. Gone see the city game? What gives?

Anybody know for sure if Giroud is now penalty taker or will Santi continue on them?

Close to going Siggy to Carzola...
