Stats wise, Debuchy looks the better call though I think. Despite his size he is also very good in the air.

Baines will be up there at the end of season, trick is to manage the peaks and troughs....bit of a gamble (and he ain't cheap).

My concerns are Pulis will obviously change the style of play but what if he drops existing defenders as part of his strategy?
don't double a team like WBA. South is the only viable double choice. (CHE is too loaded up in the 8).

2nd for goal attempts
3rd for goal attempts in the box

His creativity does need some work though

When you put it like that, it doesn't look good.
But, they were tricky fixtures in the main and we didn't have our first choice back 4 for most of them.
And he poses a very decent attacking threat.

The top five mids have out scored every striker apart from Aguero. Surely that indicates that more points are to be made from a solid 5 playing midfield? Is it not?
