Gameweek 22

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I have Chadli as 4th mid and Lucas asbench fodder.

Can't see past Chadli-->Punch as being the best transfer. (Elia maybe but would prefer Mane).

Are there any mid week matches that could trigger any injuries?

    Is my a team a mess? 😥

    What changes would you make?

    Krul
    Terry, Koscielny, Clyne
    Sanchez (C), Hazard, Fabregas, ADM
    Aguero, Ings, Kane

    Pantilimon, Boyd, Cameron, Baird.

Any major issues with my WC team?

Midfield is a little weak due to 2 big Forwards.

    Pantilimon (Hammer)
Terry - Bertrand - Wisdom (Hutton - Braid)
    Hazard - ADM - Sanchez - Ward-Proswe - Boyd
    Costa - Kane - Aguero

      Bad!

Lost the Cup due to Mirallas taking Baines penalty kick and missing. Going into last match:

      Me: 46pts + Baines
      Opposition: 44pts + Wisdom & Foster

No I don't think so. I don't think he makes Soton's Best XI once all injured players return. I also don't think that a player suddenly finds ability to score goals after 7 years of a relative lack.

I presume you're asking if you got an unlimited supply of arsenal and Chelsea players to choose from for his fpl team, and everyone else just had the normal limitations, would anyone be able to match you?

Mmm, probably, but if there were no budget then perhaps not.

Hopefully the cup games adds to our insight on this Puncheon v Elia debate. Not feeling either TBH. Avoiding cheaper midfielders until Downing/Chadli get good fixtures again.

Of those, two, it has to be Puncheon. And I'm a Saints fan. Elia simply isn't nailed on. He is a skillful player but it will take a lot more to prove he can consistently convert skill into points. Historically he hasn't, so it would need to be a breakthrough season. Possible but not highly likely.

Read up a few posts and you'll see an explanation..

Basically he isn't nailed on and hasn't done enough to prove himself. The two goals were a) bad goalkeeping and b) deflected.

          1) Baird should be nailed. Played well yesterday. Decent risk at 3.9M.
          2) Pantilimon should keep his place judging by his performances. Not a fan of having another keeper to bench him any week. Even with a hard fixture he gets save points.
3,4) Sunderland double up and West Brom double up actually works. Made a spreadsheet of rotating my defence until GW34 and it works. Gets tricky for West Brom then.

I think 2 weeks after the first leg. Not 100% sure though.

    How do I look?

    Panti
    PvA/Bertrand/Terry
    Downing/Sanchez/ADM/Hazard
    Kane/Costa/Aguero

    Foster/Wisdom/Albrighton/Wasil

    0.0 ITB, 1 FT

Looking to ship Downing out, but who for?

    A) Elia
    B) Puncheon
    C) Other
    D) Keep

If you got Downing at 5.5 I would keep for the next week, I have him and thought about Puncheon - it comes down to where Puncheon is played - when he was switched to the center behind the striker he was really effective but not so much when he was out wide.

if you do anything do Puncheon, I am keeping Downing for the moment, will likely bench Downing at S'ton and Arsenal and also at home to Chelsea - I might bench as first sub against man u next week as well.

I think Downing can get points at Liverpool who haven't been great at home.

I watched S'ton at New on TV - IMO Elia won't do that each and every week and not sure he n will be in the team when Mane comes back.

I'm a very happy Baird owner. Bargain, at that price.

Cameron, on the other hand... Waste of a defensive spot. Gutted.

I started Baird benched Chester GW 1. Baird came on for a late cameo and got me 1 point. Chester would of came on for 15...

    Foster (TOT) or Krul (hul)?

Foster has form / home fixture / Pulis
Kul has easier fixture but away

I'm playing Kane so Foster might cancel out points

    Foster, Myhill
    Terry, Bertrand, Wisdom, PvA, Hutton
    Hazard, Sanchez, ADM, Chadli, Boyd
    Aguero, Costa, Kane

    1 FT, 0.6 ITB

I would probably save. Hutton to Bellerin is a possible move but dont know who you would drop and not sure of long term starts. Nice rank by the way!

    A) Ward Prowse and Costa and 4 point hit or
    B) Fab and Austin and save the transfer
I already have had so if I pick up costa I will be covering most of fab'a assists. Also Ward Prowse has terrific form and is quite the differential at only 4.8.

I got him in as well, he played really well against City and can't see him getting dropped for Chambers. The risk is how much Wenger paid for Chambers and whether he plays Bellerin in the cup game and then rests him for the next league game giving Chambers a chance at home to Villa - apparently Bellerin is incredibly quick and has been very impressive in training.

Yeah, if I had owned Baines, I would have really felt like I got ripped off. At least Baines owners can fully expect him to take his place back at the spot.

Good morning everyone. I'd like to get your opinion on:

    1) Baird. At that price and already looking like a BAP magnet, you got to have him. However, Pulis is reportedly in the market for a LB. What do we do? Get him and keep some free cash in case he is dropped to make a swap for someone else?

    2) Bellerin. Any reason why he is rated highly fpl-wise? I really doubt he keeps his place when Chambers is back. I guess the cup games lineups in the next 2 weeks will give some indication. Anyone getting him? And whats the contingency plan?

    3) Naylor. He is wanted by Pulis as I understand. If you got him at 4.5, would you keep him if he becomes a WBA player? I already know I don't want him if he stays at Swansea.

    Cheers.

      2. Chambers was available at the weekend so there's some hope Bellerin stays.

      3. I read Naylor to Palace not WBA

Chambers is back already.. Bellerin picked ahead of him for city away and played well. his spot to lose by the looks of it...
Baird looks a bargain though 3) could come in and mess things up
