Visuals returned to the ScoutCast this week, as Granville and I cuddled up in a Google Hangout, with Jonty crashing in to form a ménage à trois.

          exactly. I took out Wasi and Wisdom for Lescott and Berty... effectively 1 each between them as I would be getting 0 from both Wisdom and Wasi anyway

        Wonderful advice. You repetitively advise people to keep PvA who has been dropped but they should transfer out Terry who is nailed on for the best defensive team in the PL.

    Okay, I bought the Cameron business on myself as he was never 100% nailed on, but still.

    Following this I got rid of the Debuchy problem by getting Bellerin who was rested last week and also the Bertrand problem by selling him for Wisdom 2 weeks prior to being dropped.

      Afraid so, I can field 11 with a sub this GW along with 2FT. 😯
      I went against the flock on WC and ended up with
      Kos(instead of Bellerin) + Fonte + Yoshida + Wolly + Wisdom (now Haidara)

      Luckily and astonishingly, Yoshida ended up being a better pick than PVA
      Imagine that a few weeks ago during Jan WC? PVA wouldn't be nailed and Yoshida still in the starting 11.

          "..."Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt... offers security of starts". That's the conventional wisdom on here but are you sure?

          PvA is a defensive liability. He lost his place at Vitesse midway through last season because of it. Chelsea sold him because of it. Sunderland's improved defensive resilience came after he became injured and was replaced by new signing Reveillere. On his PL return he was at fault for the Liverpool goal by which they lost.

          I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Reveillere replace PvA at left back once Reveillere is fit again (soon). Meaning PvA would play left midfield or more likely spend a lot of time on the bench. Poyet is more likely to prioritise defensive soundness at left back over the attacking flair which is PvA's strength.

          I'd go for O'Shea if you want a secure Sunderland defender."
