Yes folks, it’s the day (night) we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. Finally.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has opened its doors for season 2011/12.

After a few false starts last week, with the new look needing one or two final tweaks, everything is now in order and we can begin to pick our squads ahead of the big kick-off on the 13th of next month.

So waste no more time and head on over to the Premier League official site to begin picking your fifteen.

We’ll have a further round-up of some of the prices in a little while but in the meantime, put off your bedtime for just a while. FPL is back.

Oh, and in case you are all wondering: Aleksander Kolarov is priced at 6.5. Don’t all rush at once, now.

    Bonus points will be awarded the morning after the matches are played.

    Examples of how bonus point ties will be resolved are as follows:

    If there is a tie for first place, Players 1 & 2 will receive 3 points each and Player 3 will receive 1 point.
    If there is a tie for second place, Player 1 will receive 3 points and Players 2 and 3 will receive 2 points each.
    If there is a tie for third place, Player 1 will receive 3 points, Player 2 will receive 2 points and Players 3 & 4 will receive 1 point each.

          Tell me about it. I've never been given a definite on the release - lots of maybes but I knew that communicating those was dangerous - I work in videogames and know the damage that can be done by breaking promises or what can be read as a promise.

          It's been pretty horrible reading the frustration here so yeah, I'm now so glad we can get on with it.

          We've lots to come in the next few days now with another test of the new site for members this weekend I hope.

      No assists for free kicks are new. Also assists are less ambiguous. The last player on the same team, no matter who else touched it.
