Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2011/12 Is Now Open

Yes folks, it’s the day (night) we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. Finally.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has opened its doors for season 2011/12.

After a few false starts last week, with the new look needing one or two final tweaks, everything is now in order and we can begin to pick our squads ahead of the big kick-off on the 13th of next month.

So waste no more time and head on over to the Premier League official site to begin picking your fifteen.

We’ll have a further round-up of some of the prices in a little while but in the meantime, put off your bedtime for just a while. FPL is back.

Oh, and in case you are all wondering: Aleksander Kolarov is priced at 6.5. Don’t all rush at once, now.

    One Wildcard can be played at any time, the January Wildcard can only be used between Gameweeks 20 and 23 (2 Jan 11:30 to 4 Feb 11:30).

    So they've just adjusted the period for the 2nd wildcard then

    seems like we've lost the fantasy stats tables such as 'league of leagues', 'team value league', 'country leagues' etc

        I have to agree though, the graphic design as a whole is pretty ordinary. The tabs at the top are appalling.

        All work in progress though.

    The bonus points are now based of an Index that rated Malouda as 13% better than any other PL footballer last year?

          Thanks mate. It's nice to be back. I was delighted when I got up a few hours ago to see FPL was up!

          I've put down below why you should go for Holt over Hoolahan. Can't believe how tough it is to put a team together this year! But I think I'll have a draft in a few minutes.

          I wouldn't mind Greeno, but his salary would be too high...

            With Holt and Hoolahan. My instincts/watching Norwich a lot last season. Did say to get Holt, but with the members on this site leaning towards Hoolahan, I have to. Plus the fact there is so much more to choose from up front.

    Both 5.5, I want both, I really like Norwich. Hmmmm. Can't have both in reality. :'( I'm already having trouble. And currently have four players playing in the Wigan Vs Norwich game.

      I'm bypassing Hoolahan myself, and that's coming from a Norwich fan. He isn't like Charlie Adam who will pick up bonuses easy. He doesn't take penos (not any more) and doesn't take frees. Not worth it. You'd be better off getting Holt over Hoolahan.

          He wants to go barcelona, I don't think he necessarily wants champions league football this season just to be playing for a team where that is a realistic possibility. I still think he might end up seeing through his contract, although Newcastle are desperate to get some cash.

          Ive heard lots more rumours linking Jose to liverpool. Plus you know how Wenger likes them, hes too old and to expensive for Wenger.
