A poor start to the season saw Tottenham lose heavily to both Manchester clubs but Saturday’s win at Wigan gave Harry Redknapp’s side their third win in a row to move up to sixth in the league. Sandro’s return to the first team following a knee injury saw a change in thinking from the Spurs boss as his team’s shape resembled more of a 4-2-3-1.

Pairing the Brazilian with Scott Parker in the middle, Redknapp moved Luka Modric to a starting berth on the right, giving him license to drift inside, and with Rafael Van der Vaart stationed behind Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Bale produced an outstanding performance wide left as he looked more like the player who won last season’s PFA Player of the Year award.

In our latest article for Members, we analyse the data from the win at the DW Stadium, as a dominant display saw Bale ranked third overall in our ICT Index ratings for Gameweek 6, behind only Robin Van Persie and Demba Ba.

Can't complain, Enrique/Simpson is pretty close as Simpson has an arguably better fixture, but Everton have no proven striker to be fair

Yes, but the whole idea is that someone with knowledge put Nzog on the bench. That's pretty demeaning to Nzog.

    1. Arteta and Dzeko > Walters (or someone else) and Aguero (4 point hit)
    2. Arteta and Dzeko > Nani and Agbonlahor (4 point hit)
    3. Mata > Nani
    4. Keep Dzeko

I've asked so many times and still undecided. Argh!

NANI. SIMPLE. Dont take a hit and get some great united coverage, i dont see how people rate Mata at the price on his head... its ridiculous, add 0.5 to it and you get Nani... bargain in my opinion. It's a simple thing to see.

I have the same dilemma, currently leaning towards Ward just because of the home fixture, choosing the home defenders should work out in the long run.

      Gotta be Ward, right?

His team is at home, and despite last week Newcastle still isn't much of an offensive threat. Plus Ward ges forward, and as a result is much more likely to get an assist, or even a goal.

    Team this week:

    Given (Vorm)
A Cole, Brown, R Johnson (Shawcross, R Taylor)
    Silva, Nani(c), Cabaye, Anderson (Moses)
    Rooney(v), Suarez, Agbonlahor.

Triple Utd coverage FTW! May get rid of Cashley & Anderson next week.
Moses & R Taylor are also a problem but will be on my bench anyway, so will get rid later on instead of taking a point hit.

Defending is hard, its easily the best football game ever but I need to get used to the defending style, its harder than the demo. You just cant get the ball against good teams, plus its quite hard to score. Brilliant game though, very realistic. It was worth queueing up at midnight for it.
