A lovely team. However, if I were wild carding right now, I would never get Nolan. Secondly, I would try and change McCartney, just in case. Our fixtures are going to be appalling.

no, not really. i know he is a terrific player, but when was the last time you saw ex-Manu striker have the best seasons of him post-Manu in the BPL? Campbell? Smith? Cole, Sparky?

Similar situation to when you brought Lambert in for GW6. No injury thought,just 2 pointers.
haha.. Lambert is really testing my patience! supposedly the 'attacking focal point' like Berba, but has been dissapointing in recent weeks (got him for his price to accommodate RVP, Baines & heavy hitters in midfield)..dont be surprised if i bench him this week..
If Fulham win, he will certainly be a part of the bonus pts. I am not a Berba fan myself, but I think he will be great as an fpl perspective.
yep, i know he could be a FPL gold this season, bar injuries and poor form. but still i need to see him shine in Fulham colours for 2,3 weeks in order for me to drop either RVP, Jelly or Lambert.. (yeah, i know, i know, it;s only Lambert..).
I really hope Silva (likely) and Sagna (hopeful) drop before the weekend. Both would be good players to bring in soon I reckon. Nobody buy them!

What has been your favourite moment so far in fantasy football?
Mine would have to be the rvp hatrick against Southampton.
But in a close second would be when hazard was 1 on 1 with the reading keeper and he layed it off for ivan!
When I had 8 players in one GW towards the end of last season (had heaps of DGWers for the following week though). I had a really decent score of around 80 and Surman scored a goal from the bench 😀

there was a game back in 206/2007 season when Reading trashed West Ham 6-0.. and i had Shorey, Nicky Hunt & Kevin Doyle all scoring big points and in ended with 90 points! meh, that kind of luck will never happen to me again.

Doubled up with Gerrard/Suarez...Fellaini/Jelavich....Ben Arfa/Ba for game week six...came up trumps...Hat trick for Suarez...2 for Ba...2 for Jelavich...one for Gerrard...and a clean sheet and a goal for Vertonghen...88pts on a low week...Not the points but just that i planned for a big week...and got one...
I was planning on Fellaini+Tevez->Caz+Berbs, when do you think is the ideal time to make this move? Should I wait till the Fulham press conference on Friday, cause Fellaini will almost certainly fall by then and my transfer plans will be scuppered to an extent?

And Yes i know kolorov is a risk, but i cant see him not playing after his performance against sunderland, particularly against relatively easy teams. Also His attacking potential far outweighs a potential 2 pointer from one of my subs.

I will yes as I need some funds from him for another trade. I'll likely have him back though. Great choice and nothing wrong with holding him and a bit of rotation if you have a good squad (ie if you don't have rvp 😛 )

Though, the more I think about it, the more Defoe v Slippy McRacist seems quite tempting!
A lot of you are Anti-Yaya. Agreed he was playing in a slightly more defensive position last year, but in the last 2-3 games he has been playing CAM. Also what adds to this is Mancini bought Garcia and Rodwell, two more DM's which will probably mean Yaya playing further up the field. If you have a look at the Fulham game, Yaya played behind the striker.
I might look at getting rid, i might keep, but he is definitely not a DM. Scotty Parker is a DM. Sandro is a DM. Stoke is a DM. Yaya is not a DM.

I don't think anyone sees him as a DM. He's probably the most complete midfielder in the game and one of the last of a dying breed. In fpl though if you want him you better like 2/3 point returns aplenty.
He's a box-to-box midfielder and always has been imo.
Just get him if you feel so, IMO guys like Nolan Michu, Ramirez, maybe even Walters will get more points than him. So I have no reason to have him in my team. 6.0 would be a fair price for him.
Had him from the start of the season. Its just some people label him as a DM, which is incorrect.
he is not a DM, more like a box-to-box player just like Alex Song, only difference is that one like to score important goals and another one like to lay important assists.. damn, i miss him already.
I'm not anti-Yaya per se, more a Touresceptic.
He has Bale type scores though, so you have to stick with him through thick and thin....2,2,3,2,13,2,1,9,...etc
There's good arguments for having him as he is a guaranteed starter and can deliver attacking returns when he's called upon to play a more attacking role in the game. But those consistent 2/3's will continue because City have too many attacking players for him to be getting goals more than he is.
Consistent over a season but not someone I'd have enough patience with. I bought him last year after the Swansea game because he had more shots than any other player that week...I think it was 10 shots or something which is amazing. But he didn't even score in that game...and the next match he did nothing. In fact he didn't score until November last year after that.
He can be instructed to play more attacking in games but I'd prefer to gamble on other players who are ALWAYS attacking and not defending/running about/tackling like he does.

okay, that's the truth that really matters, i think. FPL-wise, he's a bargain, right. so hands down to me.
Tevez is the big one here really. Berba is still in his prime and isn't a youth who failed to break into a regular role.

You are creating a comparison to justify it.
Yes of course players who are ending their career or past their prime will do worse. But with Forlan he became one of the best strikers in Europe after leaving OT. Berba was also frozen out and still has the required skills. I'd argue he's an even bigger asset at Fulham, where he is guarenteed starts and the main man. His stats are amazing so far at Fulham.
A better comparison is players that are not past their prime. And also age tends to make a player slower, but for players that do not rely on pace they can get better with age...eg Pirlo.

No, he's going to do what he does every season: make it clear that on paper he's FPL dynamite then go missing the moment he does get a brief run of games, then go back to getting one game in three.

I'd love to feel like I had a good excuse to operate on my team to the extent required to bring in Giroud, but it just feels like too much structural upheaval when I'm fairly happy with my balance.
I'm in the same boat mate. Could be a big opportunity to climb the rankings though. Gotta be ruthless with our squads sometimes, getting in before the big haul and getting out before the run of shyte returns is key.
