Villa’s failure to keep Sunderland out and Marouane Fellaini’s awful open goal gaff left us out of pocket from last week’s flutter. Christian Benteke did the business for us but Sunderland’s consolation in the 6-1 mauling on Monday night robbed us of profit from our 11/2 shot.

With double Gameweek assets stealing the limelight this weekend, let’s see if we can’t have more luck with the latest round of weekend markets from Paddy Power.

We start things off with a player with just a single fixture in the Gameweek. Theo Walcott is the only such player in our Scout Picks this week and, having scored against United on Sunday, the Gunners flyer will surely face the relegated R’s as Arsenal’s big goal threat. Paddy certainly fancy him to deliver, offering 7/2 on a Theo Walcott goal coupled with an Arsenal clean sheet against QPR. We’ll gladly get behind this, placing the first £3 of our stake on Theo to come good.

Romelu Lukaku comes into the Gameweek off the back of a double point haul in the Baggies’ 3-0 rout of Southampton; not surprisingly, the Belgian has found plenty of backers for his two fixtures in the Gameweek as a result. The home clash with Wigan this weekend is his big opportunity to earn profit, with the midweek trip to the Etihad presenting a far stiffer task for Lukaku and Steve Clarke’s men. Paddy have a Lukaku goal with a West Brom clean sheet against Wigan at 13/2. While we’re not ruling out a goal or two for the visitors, we’ll place a tentative £2 on this one.

Gareth Bale is as “essential” as they come as a double Gameweek asset. He’ll surely sport the armband for the majority this weekend, facing former club Southampton having scored 10 goals in his last 10 league starts. Paddy seem pretty convinced that his run of strikes will continue, offering 3/1 on a Bale goal with a Tottenham clean sheet against the Saints. With Mauricio Pochettino’s side still recovering from the shock home defeat to the Baggies and without the inspiration of Gaston Ramirez through suspension, were happy placing £4 of our stake on this one.

A Spurs clean sheet also features in our treble bet this week, with Paddy dangling 10/1 on a Tottenham shutout together with goals for Sergio Aguero against Swansea and Walcott at QPR. With just a shiny pound coin remaining, we’ll toss it Paddy’s way on this one.

I think Martin will get you 2 points. Luiz (-4) is 0 after factoring in 2 matches and you have all those minutes with his attacking potential. It's well worth this risk.

Ever been two hatricks for a DGW player in FPL history?

    For a mid that would be (15 x 2) + (3 x 2) + (3 x 2 if CS) = 42pts (c) = 84pts 😯

    Bale (c) 😮

I'm not sure about Michu as one of the best possible options til the end of the season. I mean sure, you wouldn't get rid if you've had him all season, but bringing him in now seems daft in my opinion. Swansea clearly cannot be bothered anymore - I know it's a cliche but it's totally true, they can't be arsed. Swansea have City, Wigan, Manchester United and Fulham. It doesn't look that great - and I don't understand why so many are bringing him in for the DGW.

Don't get me wrong he's still a decent shout but, surely there are BETTER options

    Ok here it is
    Hart (Robles)
    Vert luiz Baines (Enrique rBennett)
    Bale(c) mata michu Maloney (Henderson)
    RVP lukaku tevez(vc)

My big decision lies with retaining luiz coz I don't rate Chelsea's chances of clean sheets
Is he really worth having or should I switch him for stam (wigan almost better chance of cleanies) and get couthino instead of hendo
This would also allow me to do michu to wally and maybe lukaku to Sturrridge next week
