What efforts shud be put in to be a successful FPL manager ?
1) Watch all the matches
2) Check out underlying stats
3) Monitor price rises / falls
4) Only watch MOTD highlights
5) Ask fellow managers for advise

Remove the 'Only' from 4 tho. I cannot watch all matches, but watch all I can. FPL is a full time hobby tbh. Always thinking about the next few games, have a twitter feed notification for footbal news and FFS so I'm on the ball. Although you wouldn't think so this season!!!!!

I think 1) and 3) are most essential.
- When you do 1) you don't need 2) and 4)
- you don't always get the right answer with 5)
Certainly 1) solves every doubt in our mind, but is the most difficult but rewarding thing to do. 5) can be a bit tricky of whether to follow or not follow the suggestion.
7) Be casual.
Be casual & then become a dead team, if things don't go ur way. 😀

I'd agree with La Roja - all three will be playing when fit - they are our three best attacking players.
Coutinho is supposed to be out of action till November though, so I wouldn't worry about this for a few weeks yet...
IMO Suarez is the better fantasy player if you can afford him, but honestly they are both equally dangerous in current form so as I've said to others - it's a coin flip
My options are Turner or HBA out. Turner has Chelsea and HBA has Liverpool and is playing pretty poorly.

GJ, Agger and Mignolet are 100% nailed when fit. I think JE will be nailed on as well, not sure Aly will put up enough of a fight for the spot.

As it stands, I am 0.3 shy of my plan to do Rooney and Paulinho > Benteke and Walcott when confirmed fit. Would of given me:

A) Lukaku, Benteke & Walcott
B) Giroud, Rooney & Paulinho
A looks like a hands down winner regardless of Giroud's individual performances

Swansea are in the mix for their amazing fixtures (SUN, WHM, car, STO) but haven't shown as much defensive form as I would like, especially with Davies and Williams crocked
Swansea, regardless of their great fixtures, are not renowned as a great defensive side. They are considered a great footballing side. Therefore Swansea defenders are not an essential acquisition. Michu is.
They have 5 clean sheets out of 7 and are the highest scoring fantasy defense in the game....tough to say they aren't making a case for essential. Especially be their cheap!
This season Swansea only have 2 clean sheets out of 7. I think you're confusing them with Southampton.

Cazorla has seemed ineffectual this year, I don't know if that is down to position or carrying an injury.
It will be interesting to see how they line up.

Walcott to return to training. At the END of this week. That means he possibly wont even play a full match in GW9 too.

he's due some regression. has been converting chances into goals at a high rate. Wally is a more permanent threat. I dont see Ramsey scoring 10+ goals, but futuire will tell.

No i really havent and i believe he is severely over-rated.
ATM , he is Arsenal's best midfielder, if not player. In the form of his life. I'm quite sure his prolific goal scoring form will end shortly though. Will probably still bring in the points, but not as much as he has during the start of this season.

My team looks alright for this week, as long as you ignore the bench, so half tempted to save a transfer...but then there's Lukaku.

Think I'd probably ship Rooney if I was going to get Lukaku in. I know he has 2 home games, but United just don't look convincing. I'm a bit all over the place this season, need some strategic thinking, and I just think getting Lukaku in will give me the funds to rebalance my midfield a bit.
Any thoughts, chaps?
That is a lovely looking side. Rooney has just as much chance as Lukaku in the next few games. The wolf doesn't care for the opinions of the sheep.
Will Rooney -> Lukaku give you enough cash for a Moses -> Wally upgrade next week? I thought I heard that Coutinho is due back soon, which could mean limited time for Victor.
Yeah it would. That's the sort of thing I had in mind.
I'd be tempted with that then, although it really wouldn't surprise me if Rooney scored well over the next 2 weeks. I'm in a similar boat with Sturridge (also have Suarez). Want Lukaku but can't really justify dropping any of S&S or Giroud.
Yeah that's even tougher. Feels like both of Suarridge is a bit OTT, but they both keep scoring, and I don't know who I'd want to keep!
Yeah, I think one (probably Sturridge) will have to go at some point as they won't both keep scoring most weeks imo. Think I'll keep for another couple of weeks and then perhaps get Benteke/Lukaku in.

Doubt Coutinho will start any games until November. I agree though that when he's back, Victor's spot is under threat. Until then Moses is a decent option at that price, playing in the hole for a side in second place.
I'd keep Rooney, has been their best player and i'd probably captain him this week.

Got Barkley for somewhere around 5.0 , worth it IMO.
