Yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which normally finds us two unwise men camped in the studio clutching presents and forlorn hopes of a festive points bonanza. This year, Granville and I appear sans gifts but with familiar Fantasy aspirations ahead of the punishing holiday schedule.

My Christmas spirit is at least buoyed by the fact that I’ve wiped the indignity of a three-figure mini-league gap between myself and my co-host, although Granville still seems to be in pipe and slippers mode. He’s all set to camp himself in front of the Two Ronnies repeats, safe in the knowledge that he’s got this season wrapped up. I just wonder.

Granville battles complacency to join me while we sift through the ScoutCast regulars and find time to pray at the altar of Luis Suarez. The most effective Fantasy Footballer ever? Much it pains some to admit it, the case for the defence is looking flimsy.

        Other than the fact i just realised Rooney is a doubt and i still have Vlaar, Koscielny, Brady and Bacuna!

        Oh, and i took a hit when i sold Aguero and Lallana at the start of the week...

    really need help....brain cant compute this decision

    my def is a mess......coleman, kosc, clyne, dawson, rosenior.....no FT.....keepers migs n gazza

    options 1) sell kosc for rafeal -4
    2) sell kosc for jags -4
    3) sell clyne for distan -4
    4)sell dawson for any of above -4
    5) sell rosenior for cheapie with gd fix this week -4
    6) make no transfer n hope clyne plays, play dawson and hope for 0-0 at st marys

    advice appreciated

          harsh. I haven't looked into his injury much yet but like you, i took a hit to redistribute Aguero cash (already had Rooney though).

          If i didn't have two out of favour midfielders and two injured defenders, i wouldn't be too concerned but I may have to take another 4 points hit just make sure I've got a full 11!

    Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a dilemma...

    I've been asking over the past few hours whether to sell Lallana or Shelvey. Everyone's been telling me to get rid of Shelvey and keep Lallana, but I feel it should be the other way around.

    My midfield is currently Yaya/Shelvey/Ramsey/Lallana/Barkley, and I want to do either Shelvey/Lallana ---> Hazard, but if I sell Shelvey and bring in Hazard, I'll only have 0,1 left in the bank, which is not enough to do Bennett --> Clark, which I've been planning to do next week.

    On the other hand, selling Lallana gives me 1.6 in the bank, which is enough to do Bennett --> Clark, and also improve in other areas.

    Plus, stats-wise, Shelvey and Lallana aren't all that different, Shelvey's stats are actually better, as he's got 4 goals and 3 assists in 14 games, 2 of which he started from the bench. Lallana, however, has 3 goals and 3 assists in 16 games, and has played a lot more minutes than Shelvey. And you have to remember. Lallana was on form at the start of the season, Shelvey is on form now.

    Plus, Shelvey's a differential in my ML and that is exactly what I'm looking for at the moment.

    So, selling Lallana is surely the better option than selling Shelvey?

        Point is, they are the back ups to Vertonghan, so they had to play a CM at CB and a shocking RB at LB. Sandro, the shield, also went off early.
