Our coverage of the official UEFA Fantasy Champions League game returns this afternoon. With just four teams left in this year’s competition, our options are a little restricted ahead of tonight’s 7.30 pm deadline – nonetheless, we still manage to hand-pick a differential from each of the remaining sides for your consideration:

Filipe Luis – the Atletico left-back sets you back just 5.5 ahead of tonight’s home encounter with Chelsea. With Eden Hazard a major doubt, the visitors are likely to be stunted in attack against a side that have been mean in defence all season; the La Liga leaders have conceded just 22 times in 34 league games this term and with Jose Mourinho bound to keep it tight, Luis – owned by less than 3% of Fantasy managers – looks a real differential worth considering.

Fernando Torres – with Samuel Eto’o set to miss out due to a knee injury, the script looks set for the 9.0-priced Spaniard to lead the line against his former club in tonight’s first-leg. Torres will always have his critics but there’s no doubt he has a tendency to pop up with goals in the matches that matter most – the chance for him to ‘not celebrate’ a winner against his old team could well be the big story of the last four.

Gareth Bale – Real’s summer signing is back in full training after recovering from flu earlier in the week. With Cristiano Ronaldo poised for a return from injury, Carlo Ancelotti will surely target a Bayern backline that struggled against Man United’s pace through the centre in the previous round. Available for 12.0, Bale notched an oustanding winner in last week’s Spanish Cup final triumph over Barcelona and welcomes the defending champions to the Bernabeu in his best form of a superb debut season.

Thomas Muller – handed a brief 17-minute run-out for the weekend win over Braunschwieg, the Bayern forward will be fully refreshed for tomorrow’s trip to Spain. Priced at 11.0, Muller has a habit of netting vital goals in the big games and, with four strikes in his last six Champions League matches, will be confident of finding the net against a Madrid side that has mustered a mere three clean sheets in their 10 matches in this season’s competition.

Evening. I have 35 points to make up in my mini league. My rival has Giroud, Cazorla and Ramsey. I have none of these. Do I get Ramsey in as coverage, or should I stick to differentials this late in the season? Thanks a bunch

Ramsey looking like a must. Maybe take a punt on Podolski if you want Arsenal coverage that he doesn't have

      Tricky.

You'll struggle to catch him without the best players, like Ramsey.
But you'll struggle to catch him with the best players, because he's got Ramsey.

🙂 I'd get him though and find diffs elsewhere. Caz and Giroud can be bettered.

Not having Ramsey seems that it might be very risky. The other two, I wouldn't worry so much about. I'd consider getting Ramsey and another differential elsewhere. 35 points isn't that much to make up, as long as luck goes your way a bit. I have Podolski for Arsenal, and that's where I recommend going for the last 3. (I picked him up at the end of last year too, and he did me well....helped me win my ML, to be honest)

Get in Suarez/Aguero/Rooney over Giroud and a good mid over Cazorla and you should do okay.

But on the other hand, I somehow want Baines vs Soton. And also it won't be easy to ditch Azpi when he will have Norwich at home…

Tres bien. I would imagine that Disneyland Paris may just have the best food of any amusement park on the planet. I spent a summer in France, oh some time ago, and I can't remember eating anything that I didn't like. I mean, they would slap some butter and brie on a baguette, and it was absolutely the cat's meow. Of course, the bread itself in France seems like it was baked by angels in Heaven's ovens.

I don't remember the ham too much in France. Maybe that's because I'm more familiar with Spain in the long run (having spent more than a year of my life in the country), and the Spanish seem to do ham like nobody else. Cured pig legs everywhere. But man, that Spanish ham with a little Manchego cheese and a glass of Rioja wine.........now that's the stuff right there.

I think Giggs will play the old guard for the Norwich game with a sprinkle of Januzaj, my predicted lineup assuming they are all fit:

    ---------------DDG
    Jones Ferdinand Vidic Evra
    ---------Carrick Fletcher
    Valencia----Mata----Januzaj
    ----------------Rooney

Good shout. I think the likes of Vidic and Evra will benefit as Giggs goes with tried and tested at the back. But then he has said good things about Januzaj and I can see him giving him a go over underperformers like Young.

It'll be interesting to see his take on it anyway.

I think Moyes out will give the players a boost.

I think he's got to play Welbeck.

I think Welbeck plays up top with Rooney behind. Ideally it should be Mata behind but it'll not happen.

Plan of action ...opinions very much wanted

    Mannone , Marshall

    Coleman , Ivan , Chester , ward , Collins

    Ramsey , Eriksen , AJ , silva , mata

    Aguero , Dzeko , Suarez

    ...,3.2m in bank

    Ok so plan is
Coleman & Dzeko to bardsley & Rooney (c) ...4 pt hit

    Next week
    Silva to yaya

Possibly but leaves you vulnerable defensively. Is the decision down to the wire financially or do you have flexibility with transfer value

Right down to the wire .1 left

I know , don't want bardsley or double Sunderland but not much else at 4.4

Nasri doesn't appeal much either , but really want Rooney

Maybe DANN from CPL or STONES from EVE.

I know there's no DGW but not sure how well Sunderland will profit.

Shame you don't have any extra cash for Smalling at 4.6m.

Mind you, it's a gamble whether he will feature with United in turmoil

Bardsley, eh? It's fun owning him, that's for sure. I'm not sure about him delivering the points though.

      Anyway, the move looks good.
