Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Chelsea

With an international break looming, we need to cherish this weekend’s action. Fortunately, on paper, the Gameweek looks to have plenty to offer us – beginning at Anfield for Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho’s side draw up on Merseyside sitting on the Premier League summit to find a faltering Liverpool outfit struggling for a foothold.

Brendan Rodgers men have just two wins in their last seven – a run that has prompted Fantasy managers to turn their backs on the men in red: even Raheem Sterling’s star has faded badly in recent weeks.

Sterling will have the opportunity to show his worth, going up against Chelsea’s cast of midfield heavyweights – Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Oscar. Meanwhile, up front, Fantasy managers will be monitoring Diego Costa’s sharpness. Once an “essential” asset, Costa’s recent injury woes have seen enthusiasm dampened – goals today would quickly reverse that.

The early kick-off is followed by a quartet of matches, before Chelsea’s title rivals, City, pay visit to Loftus Road.

Stick around to discuss the day’s action as it unfolds and keep one eye on our Twitter feed for all the lineup news.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Based on my own points predictions for this weeks games, I'll be up to 549 overall at the end of the GW.

I have to give special word to Ramires and Fabregas but also the medical department, they did fantastic work on them. Fabregas maybe is a problem for the next match.

Anyone else resist the temptation to rid of Sterling? Once Sturridge returns i reckon they will start scoring again especially with those tasty fixtures?

Did Sterling ➡ Diame for this GW. Looking to bring in Januzaj or any one below 9M after the international break.

Might just get Sturridge instead when he's fit.

yeah i kept him in. i reckon his 4 points and sturridge's announcement of his imminent return (on twitter) should see his price stop dropping now

Using this United vs. Palace game to evaluate Januzaj. Priced out of Sanchez & Wally's not guaranteed to start till late December by the looks of things.

      For a FT?

Yes if you have no other pressing concern. That and the odd injuries during the international break.

I like this stage in the game week, all my arrows are grey.
