I've got mine too and have no idea. Just gonna wait for a load of injuries or bandwagons.

Worst than happens WC for the very last week and can match my rivals team to confirm winning a cash league, or go for a Scout Picks style line up !!

    42.

Something wasn't quite right, FFS didn't feel the same,
We all suddenly realised, there's more to life than this game.
After spending hours every week, deciding who to buy and sell,
We were all far more concerned, that Doosra was unwell.

A diehard Hammers fan, with a grav of their number 16,
A record holder for points on the bench - the most FFS has seen.
Stats tables coming out his ears, and a special ticker too,
A dislike for certain strikers, including Suarez and Giroud.

Forever blowing bubbles, one of the nicest chaps around,
This place just isn't the same, without Doosra's special sound.
A preseason bandwagon creator, including Ashley Young,
He'd never write off the Hammers, until the fat lady has sung.

A community scout picks rep, early on in GW 5,
He beat Jonty by 1 point, to keep the community's dream alive.
Vote early and vote often, was the message behind his campaign,
We can all be sure he celebrated his win, by Downing some champagne.

Getting Adrian a season early, running the FA Cup of Tea,
A strong belief in Danny Welbeck - something only Doos could see.
A lover of fine wine and food, a member of the Green Party too,
He even helped find Jonty's dog... is there anything this man can't do?

Going too far against the grain, may be his one FPL flaw,
Not to mention his unhealthy obsession, with Emmanuel Adebayor.
'I'm sorry, but that is bollocks', is a trademark saying of his,
But who could disagree with Doos' tables? He is FFS' stats whizz.

Often posting links to old music, especially jazz and brass,
If you're talking about Sturridge to him, don't say he doesn't pass!
A user of the word onanist, on more occasions than one,
His love of defensive midfielders, is definitely second to none.

Doos - just like the leagues you run, it's a Long and Winding Road from here,
But we know you'll return soon, to a community filled with cheer!
We've all added 42 to our names, that's the very least we could do,
Get well soon from all of FFS... we're all really missing you.

Great poem, Innsie - I hope that Doos is now (or will be very soon) getting well enough to appreciate it and that it will cheer him up and help speed his recovery.

    My goalkeeper:

    Forster Given

Should I stick with Forster and do Given --> Myhill (Foster is ruled out till the end of the season so he's nailed on)

    Or replace Forster immediately ?

I think Forster > Myhill makes sense now we know that Myhill is nailed on for the remainder of the season. West Brom's fixtures are fine until GW34 or so, then you can re-evaluate.

You could do Given > Myhill if you'd prefer Myhill as a backup to the Saints' keeper when (and if) he returns.

I'm strongly considering WCing tonight. 😕

I've gone through all the situations and considered Liverpool DGW(if any) to be on gw 34 and gw 37.

WCing in gw 34 would mean an extra -4 down the line in both scenarios(i/e. Liverpool DGW34 or37).

Moreover, Liverpool may not even have a DGW fwiw.

    Thoughts please?

Like I said above, I've considered all scenarios and come to the conclusion that holding the WC won't be of any value now that the Arsenal DGW got shifted to gw 37.

Have a go yourself and you'd realise that holding the WC would be pointless.

Because I'll take a Lukaku punt in gw 33 for -4. With the WC that comes free.

I'm holding. I'm pretty happy with my team at the moment apart from Giroud kicking me in the nuts every week, but Austin has a double, Kane's Kane and I believe in Aguero. I plan to sell Sanchez, get a keeper with fixture in week 33 and take a couple punts with my 4 transfers between now and week 34. Then I'll wildcard and hope for a Liverpool double.

      1. pundit of punts
        • 11 Years

If the Liverpool DGW is in gw 37 then the WC would probably be of no use.

You can't carry so many of those high prced players on the bench and then it would anyways take hits to get them in gw 37.

Even if it's in gw 34, still I don't see many positives of holding it.

I suggest you to run a simulation of WCing this gw and WCing in gw 34 and you'd realise.

Despite Myhill/K. Davis emerging as potential bargains I might go with Fabianski. His fixtures are better than most keepers for the rest of the season and Swansea are decent at defending. Mignolet is a decent option but Arsenal (A) and Chelsea (A) ruin it a bit.

    Forster -> Guzan this week
    then Guzan-> Migs next week

Is this a good plan, or too many transfers to change keeper?

Only problem is Migs might have a blank in GW33 (depends on Cup replay) so maybe move to a keeper who has a game that week? (Guzan has a blank in 33 as well)

That is indeed a problem, actually.. KDavis or Myhill then?

That's what I'm thinking too at the moment. Maybe not too much good in that DGW for guzan.. Maybe getting Myhill and/or KDavis. Frees up money for Azpi-> Ivan

      Just do Forster to Fabs

That won't free up money for Azpi -> Ivan... Maybe getting Myhill in, seems to have decent fixtures, maybe him and Kelvin Davis if Forster is out rest of the season.

Don't fancy double Swans, as I have got Naugthon, but thanks anyway!

Kane captain era got lucky. A massive deflection and a pen after Townsend went off. I feel sorry for Aguero captain era the most. They were terribly unlucky

At the end of the day fantasy is about luck. Proof: Nobody will get in the top 100 three years in a row.

My goodness, a score so far of 61 points yet I have fallen over 1K in OR. I guess 61 is not so great even with Kane (c)

Still have Terry Ivan Haz and Austin to play....
