Southampton suffer a blow as Morgan Schneiderlin is ruled out for the season. Mathieu Debuchy emerges as a doubt for Arsenal. Leicester’s Jeffrey Schlupp returns to contention against Newcastle, whilst Alberto Moreno and Lucas are back in training for Liverpool.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed that midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin will miss the rest of the season with the knee injury picked up in the stalemate with Spurs. Dusan Tadic, meanwhile, is ruled out of the trip to Sunderland with a groin issue.

Tim Sherwood has ruled out Gabby Agbonlahor for the weekend, with the forward failing to recover from a knock. Alan Hutton is back in training for Villa to boost their defensive options. The right-back faces a late fitness test ahead of the meeting with Everton.

Bobby Zamora is struggling to be fit for the crucial clash with Liverpool this weekend, according to Chris Ramsey, who also reveals that most of the other players are fit to be involved. Rio Ferdinand has returned to training and could be available for the R’s, while Ramsey suggests that Leroy Fer is also in contention to start.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Geoff Cameron is Stoke’s main injury doubt ahead of the encounter with Swansea, with the defender yet to return to training having sustained a minor hamstring injury. Peter Odemwingie is in contention to feature once again for Stoke, following his spell on the sidelines, though Hughes admits Odemwingie is not yet ready to play from the start. Elsewhere, Charlie Adam will be assessed after breaking his nose in training, and could be set to play with a protective mask against Southampton.

Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery this week. Lucas and Alberto Moreno have both returned to full training for Liverpool having recovered from their injuries, and are expected to be available to face QPR this weekend.

Foxes boss Nigel Pearson has confirmed Jeffrey Schlupp will be available to face Newcastle this weekend, after missing Leicester’s last two matches with a calf problem. David Nugent, however, has failed to recover from a similar complaint and been ruled out of the Newcastle encounter. Pearson has also admitted that both Andy King and Robert Huth remain injury concerns, with the pair set to be assessed ahead of the weekend.

Everton have reveaed that Bryan Oviedo will miss the rest of the season, with the Costa Rican international fracturing his fifth metatarsal in training this week.

Arsene Wenger could be without Mathieu Debuchy for the Gunners trip to Hull. The defender sustained “a little hamstring problem” in training, and Wenger admits Monday’s match could come too soon for him.

Newcastle confirm that Daryl Janmaat will be available for the weekend after recovering from the illness suffered in the loss to Swansea. Siem de Jong is expected to be involved at the weekend, but won’t be fit enough to start, admits John Carver.

Sean Dyche could again be without Striker Sam Vokes for the Clarets trip to West Ham. Vokes missed the loss to Leicester with a minor thigh injury and remains “touch and go” to face the Hammers. Aside from Vokes and the known long-term absentees, Dyche has reported a clean bill of health for Burnley this weekend.

Steven Fletcher is expected to miss the Black Cats’ home encounter with Southampton. Dick Advocaat revealed the Scot has undergone scans on his ankle problem but has yet to know the outcome.

Jefferson Montero is fit and available for Swansea after overcoming the thigh problem that forced him off during last week’s win at Newcastle.

Nikica Jelavic has trained with the Hull first-team squad for the last four days. Earlier this morning, Steve Bruce revealed that Mo Diame is still struggling with a knee problem.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

My plans narrow themselves down to these 2 options lads. Thoughts on the one with the most potential?.

    A)--- Koscielny (hul - SWA - DGW - WBA)
    ------ Benteke (EVE - WHU - sot - BUR)

    B)--- Stones (avl - SUN - whu - TOT)
------ Giroud (hul - SWA - DGW- WBA)

Reposting this from a few hours ago for some more input. Is getting Giroud a no-brainer? My gut says to go for Koscielny over him as my third Arsenal player.

Chasing a lead of 30 points. Any advice?

I think it's a coin toss really but if they have Giroud and you need to make up 30 points then you will need differentials. I'm doing Austin to Benteke this week (don't have Giroud).

With Chelsea presumably celebrating a title win this weekend, is there a danger Mou might let random players take penalties if they win any? Thinking Hazard might not be such a good shout as captain for this reason.

What do you guys think of my team for next couple GW's.

    GW35.

    Begovic

    Ivan, Kos, Skrtel (C. Dawson & A.Robertson)

    Hazard, Fellaini, Silva, Sterling (Cambiasso)

    Aguero, Kane and Vardy

    Have 2.4 ITB

    GW36

    Sterling & Kane > Ramsey & Benteke

    0.5 ITB

    GW37

    possibly Aguero > Giroud?

    Any thoughts??

Useless stat. Villa have 1,500 more fans per game than Leicester, yet the article says Leicester are better supported. By that logic next season Bournemouth will be the best supported team on the planet as they will fill their 12k stadium to 100% every game. Total oblogs.

Nah, Schmeichel has better reach and will get a points win. Ospina will want a war but he'll be kept at distance.

Watch Schmeichel's trainer though. It could all go off after the final bell.

Posted this earlier but thought I might make it a proper post, as seen a few people debating this transfer:

I've pulled the trigger on Fabregas to Sanchez this week for a few reasons:

    1. CPL love to spoil a party and have been playing well away from home
    2. Chelsea are focusing on defence and I can see this game being a 1-0 or even a 1-1
    3. Fab had his moments the other night, but he still drops so deep. Sometimes picking up the ball in an almost center back position!
    4. Not convinced about Fabs goal threat at all, and Sanchez always looks lively - looked good against Chelsea too.

Help me with my transfer this week:

    Ospina, Schmeichel
    Terry, Ivan, Skrtel, PvA, Schlupp
    Hazard, Sterling, Coutinho, Sanchez, Grealish
    Aguero, Vardy, Murray
    (3.6m in the bank)

    a. Giroud in for Murray (that’ll be my 3 Arsenal players sorted)
    b. Benteke in Murray (and then get either Ozil or Ramsey for my 3rd Arsenal player next week)

It basically comes down to whether Giroud is essential, or whether Benteke and a second Arsenal midfielder might be a better option…
