Newcastle will have Vurnon Anita available for the Swansea clash, with the midfielder returning to training this week after being stretchered off in the stalemate with Southampton. The weekend, however, will come too soon for Paul Dummett and Remy Cabella who remain out with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively.
Ronald Koeman has confirmed that midfielder Jordy Clasie is out for two to three weeks with an ankle injury sustained whilst playing for the Under 21s in midweek. Leighton Baines is out for 12 to 14 weeks, however, after undergoing ankle surgery.
Watford duo Steven Berghuis and Almen Abdi have returned to training after missing last weekend’s draw with Everton through injury. The pair are expected to be available for the weekend, Quique Sanchez Flores has suggested.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Peter Odemwingie is ruled out for two weeks with a hamstring injury. Fellow attacker Bojan is expected to step up his recovery with a run-out for the reserves at the weekend. Hughes is also optimistic that Marko Arnautovic and Marc Wilson will be available for the Spurs trip, after injury setbacks suffered at the start of the season.
Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-yeung is set to train after limping off with a hamstring injury against Chelsea last weekend – Garry Monk is expected to make a late decision on his fitness. Defender Jordi Amat is back and available for selection after recovering from a broken metatarsal suffered at the end of last season.
