I'm gonna go for the United defensive double-up for DGW34. United fixtures are most likely to be AVL, CPL (Both at home).

De Gea + Smalling on the list then.

Too pricey. I tried it, but it leaves you having to drop a mid or forward you really want

Just tried it and it works for me. My planned attack is most likely going to be Ozil, Payet, Firmino, Willian and Mahrez. Aguero, Ighalo and Lukaku upfront.

Ahh right. I'm looking at KDB and Sanchez over Payet and Willian.

I may try and squeeze Rojo in, but there's always a rotation risk there

    *WARNING - HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION ONLY*

Word of warning for those hell-bent on GW33 WC - there could only be 3 rearranged matches in GW34:

    34

    LIV v EVE
    MNU v CPL
    WHU v WAT

    37

    NEW v MNC
    ARS v WBA
    LIV v CHE
    NOR v WAT
    CPL v EVE
    WHU v MNU

    36/37 (TGW)

    SUN v EVE

Logical to who? Other than for the convenience of FPL matches (which I'm fairly sure the PL doesn't rearrange matches based on), I see no logic.

I do hope there's a choice. Everyone with similar teams wildcarding at the same time doesn't offer much of an opportunity for a major ranking boost.

I would think it's logical to schedule 34 where possible i.e. if no 2 x DGW, which still leaves 37 as contingency. Or maybe what I say does not make sense...

    5. Rossonero
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

I think that logic is if they can put a canceled match in GW 34, they will. Because later for some reasons matches could get postponed and then you are in trouble. So it is logical to me to play postponed matches first chance you get.

If the above comes into being (when announced of course) then it should be an easy decision to WC37. Hoping it is more than those in 34 to mix it up a little. Either way, I am sure FFSers will be well prepared with the good work you and the others have been doing.

I've got Huth, Mahrez and Vardy tonight, and am expecting a drop in rank (57K currently). Almost every active team has got three Leicester including Mahrez and Vardy, and there's going to be a lot of bench points added to team scores this evening.

He's astonishing for his age, I said when we signed him that he had the potential to become the best Everton striker in my lifetime, and he's already the best goalscorer we've had for 30 years. He's had issues, namely his 1st touch, but people forget his age. Chelsea letting him go, at the age of 20/21, was unbelievably idiotic.

I really really hope we can hold onto him, but we'd HAVE to get at least £45m in the current market. We paid £28m and he's improved significantly since then, and he's already a 30 goal a season man. We can't replace that, no one anywhere near his level would want to come to Everton.

Personally I'd turn down any offer for him if possible, we simply can't replace him with any amount of money.

Got a feeling the striker you bought in Jan was fetched in early to bed him in before the exit of Lukaku.
You don't need to sell, but the player won't turn down a huge club.
Upwards of 60 mil would be my guess. Lots of money about next year.

I've lost all concept of money in modern football, I have no idea if £45m is even that much at the top end! I thought £28m was a huge sum when we bought him, looks like peanuts now.

Alright, obviously if someone came in with like £10bn I wouldn't be saying no, but my point is that even if we got like £80m for him, it's not like we can then use that to replace him, because no one as good as him would ever join Everton. Same situation as Spurs with Bale and Liverpool with Suarez.

Yup. Especially as it is, the OR milestones are bunched so closely together. Every captaincy fail hurts.

Aw, thanks Flynn - I thought my gameweek was fair to middling to be honest based on the comments I'd seen knocking about on here but a glance through the Contributors & Moderators league (my favoured benchmark) shows that I've done pretty well. Andy G at the top has done better though - his Gradel transfer was inspired!

Not fair. Some of the Kane(c)ers are quite helpful.

It was Villa. Hoping to be a smug Siggy captainer next week too.

You get smug people every week, wouldn't worry about it too much.

Kane captainers made a good choice. I made a choice I'd make every time.

He's the only one I can realistically lose, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Silva in the points this week. If we still think Kun will get returns, Silva won't be far behind

As long as Bony stays off the pitch we have a chance.

Indeed. I'd be amazed to see Pellegrini roll out a 442 v this United side, even if Bony was in form

Can I check, any hits are taken off at the end of the GW right?

The guy behind me has 65 but took an -8 hit so he should be on 57 at the end of things yeah?

It only shows as such in H2H leagues otherwise just count his points, it is taken off his total.

    I triple captained Kane.

In my illegal third FPL "sh*t & giggles" team.

I giggled myself sh*tless about it.

Arnie to Firmino with my free?

I've got Afobe wasting a spot but can't quite afford Kaku yet and Defoe/Rondon seem a little punty so might jsut bench.

Lots of potential under the radar defenders could be gold for DGW34.

Have my eyes on Martin, PVA, Skrtel, Moreno, Gabriel/Rojo

Benching dilemmas in attack also. Need to bench one of:

    Mahrez, Payet, Firmino, Alli, Siggy
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

    Thoughts?

If Vardy doesn't score tonight will people be tempted to move him on?

    (A) Payet (che)
    (B) Ozil (eve)
    (C) Wollscheid (wat) (Play All Out Attack)
