The first Euro 2016 match of the day sees Sweden take on an Italy side in confident mood after an impressive 2-0 win over Belgium in their first Group E match.
Antonio Conte’s team will be looking to repeat that solid tactical display if they are to beat Sweden and remain among the tournament’s main title challengers. Under the Chelsea manager in waiting Italy are unbeaten in 11 competitive games. The Azzuri will also be looking for their fourth clean sheet in a row, which they last achieved during the 2006 World Cup, a tournament they eventually won.
Sweden are set to once again rely heavily on a strong performance from their veteran forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored 11 goals for his country during qualifying. However, Erik Hamren’s side will need to improve greatly on their laboured 1-1 draw against Republic of Ireland in their opening group match, in which none of their seven goal attempts was on target.
