The Community Round Up

With the knockout stage of Euro 2016 about to get underway, our hot topic posters were full of advice on the best players to draft in as we re-assemble our squads and also discussed ways in which the tournament could be improved. We also find out who is riding high in our Euro 2016 community competitions, as well as gather some early thoughts on domestic issues, with the Premier League fixture list unveiling already whetting the community’s appetite for the season ahead.

The Community Articles

In our latest community article of the month prize, Ludo emerged victorious from our community vote for his excellent look at the psychology of Fantasy management. A £20 Amazon voucher is on his way to him.

The Hottest Topics

Fantasy managers are preparing themselves for the Round of 16 phase of Euro 2016 this weekend. With unlimited transfers in the official Uefa game there has been plenty of discussion about drafting in players that will not only score well in the next match but should emerge as shrewd long-term investments. For those looking for a recap on the key price changes ahead of the next set of fixtures, Greenwindmill has kindly gathered up the risers and fallers.

Sticking with Euro 2016, Ryan prompted one of the week’s busiest discussions with his ideas for a new format for the competition. In terms of England’s prospects, TheFluffyCamel leapt to Roy Hodgson’s defence after the England manager’s tinkering was widely blamed for his side’s failure to clinch top spot in Group B.

On the domestic front, the new Premier League fixture list was this month’s key event. We looked at the teams with the best start to the 2016/17 campaign, while Balders ran the rule over the best season-long rotation pairs, which is ideal for those on the hunt for budget goalkeepers in particular. Rotation pairs also came under scrutiny later when we focused on the best match ups in the first six Gameweeks.

Paying close attention to early fixtures is set to prove crucial to getting a good head start. Pap Le Cissier canvassed further advice from the community on key ways to ensure the start of a Premier League season is a fruitful one for Fantasy managers.

Elsewhere in the top-flight, another exodus of players is being widely predicted for Southampton. However, Saints fan Lucy urges caution in writing off her team, which has more than coped with a spate of high-profile departures in recent years.

Finally, this month has seen another new addition to the FFScout moderator team, with AZ joining. He has already got his feet under the table by publicising news of his appointment before we had a chance to.

The Members Tables

The community’s table constructors have been taking full advantage of this season’s Membership, which includes international statistics for those playing Euro 2016 Fantasy games. Gavaza’s most recent table takes a look at the tournament’s most attacking players, while Balders’ latest looks at a range of key statistics for success among Euro 2016 players.

For those playing DraftKings Euro 2016 games I’ve created this handy table focusing on the key stats for success in the game.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

The Community Tournaments

Fantasy Football Frog dropped by to launch a dedicated article for his Frogball Euro 2016 competition for updates and tournament discussion.

Ahead of the first knock out phase of Euro 2016 the leader of the FFScout Official Uefa game league is Mzungu Maskini on 217. He is closely followed by Fitzy on 216. Meanwhile, Greenwindmill tops the FFScout moderators and contributors official Uefa league.

In our exclusive free to enter DraftKings game on Thursday, JohnLuthersCoat claimed the first prize of $50, with Belgium’s goal scoring midfielder Radja Nainggolan and Portugal’s Nani among his star picks.

If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round Ups please email me a brief summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spread sheet or head to head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

    Which midfield double-up?

    A) Perisic + Rakitic (POR)
    B) Ozil + Kroos (SLO)

    WC intact

Perisic and Ozil are the ones I already have, so which one to go with them?

Just watched an episode of murder she wrote from 85.
There was something familiar with the nice person that was falsely accused of murder and suddenly it hit me.
    It was Bruce Jenner!
Before operations, deformations and finally a bucket load of dresses.
