The final round of festive fixtures comes to its conclusion at Wembley Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham play the second match of their double Gameweek 22.

Much to our collective relief, Harry Kane returns to the hosts’ starting line-up after producing just a single point from his 22 minutes off the bench at Swansea on Tuesday night.

It’s fair to say that the Fantasy Premier League hopes of many managers rely on the Spurs striker this evening.

Not only is he the top captain pick for the Gameweek (24.2%), a hefty 121,000+ Triple Captain chips have been wielded on Kane in light of back-to-back hat-tricks in his previous two starts.

The allure of a double Gameweek has also boosted in interest in Spurs midfield trio Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli. All three join Kane on the teamsheet and are also among the top 13 armband picks for Gameweek 22.

The top transfer target for Gameweek 22, with 498,000+ new owners, Son has scored in five of Tottenham’s last six at Wembley, totalling 57 points over those matches.

Eriksen and Alli, meanwhile, bagged an assist and goal respectively in Tuesday’s win at Swansea to continue their improved form.

The Dane has supplied points in six of his last seven outings, while Alli has two goals and four assists in his previous three.

At the back, Ben Davies earns successive starts for the first time since Gameweek 16 as Danny Rose misses out with a knee complaint again.

The big news for the Hammers is that Marko Arnautovic is sidelined with a minor hamstring problem.

Drafted in by over 368,000 for his pair of fixtures, he ends double Gameweek 22 on five points, having earned the assist for Andy Carroll’s late winner against West Brom.

Carroll’s two goals in the Baggies’ clash isn’t enough to keep his role in the XI, though – he drops to the bench as Chicharito leads the line instead.

The Mexican and Manuel Lanzini – who has supplied four assists in his previous five – carry the main threat to a defence that’s looking for their tenth clean sheet of the season.

    Going to make early transfers

Son and Fernandez -> Alonso and Choupo (-4)

    Give me :

    DDG, Elliot
    Otamendi, Duffy, Kenny, Mee, Alonso
    Salah, Sterling, Choupo, Arnie, Richarlison
    Kane, Aguero, Quaner

Really want Alonso as he seems essential to me. Son fixtures are hard and I think Kane is enough of Spurs and Choupo got some good fixtures coming after Man City.

    Maybe a too weak midfield?

    Y/N?

    Cheers

Agree. The only caveat is spurs v everton will likely be another attack v defence game which may frustrate.

Reckon Alonso will continue his scoring run?

I don't know if he will continue his scoring run but at least he will get some CS I think. It also seems that the stats of Alonso are impressive so I don't think I want to miss out on that.

Alonso was actually pretty poor in the last game. Still he almost scored a brace. The guy is very attacking and will continue to get returns imo. But a combo of Lingard/Christensen could still outscore Chupo/Alonso imo.

Fairly content with my team, but maybe want to reduce my WHU and Spurs exposure.

    Pope

    Ogbonna - Alonso - Duffy
    Lingard - Lanzini - Erikson - Arnaotovic - Sterling
    Aguero - Kane

    Elliot - DCL - Kenny - Wimmer
    +0.7 itb

    Thinking:
    A. Lanzini and Erikson out, and maybe bring back Salah (if fit) plus a 6.6 mid
    B. Lanzini out and invest 7.5 balance on Mid (Willian or Ransey (if fit)
    C. Leave as is, decent fixtures for WHU and Spurs.

Pros and cons about Wildcadring in January? Should you save your WC until the DGW's or can it pay off to use it this month?

    Things to consider:

    - If you WC'd now, would you spend the next gameweeks preparing for a DGW team anyway (So wouldn't get maximum benefit from WC'ing early, as you could end up talking out the players you've put in)

    - For me personally I have a lot of fires to put out (Elliot, Kabasele, Mbemba, Mee, Masuaku) so I'm trying to decide whether a quick WC fix could be as valuable as a WC just before the DGW (and then activating bench boost).

Just wanted your opinions at to whether an early WC could ever outdo a WC just before the DGWs?

    Cheers

No, just take a few -4 hits over the next few weeks

My WC team last year gave me 93 points and the DGW/BB the week after gave me 197 (-8).

But if you think you are going to make up those sorts of points by WDing now then go for it.

Do I need to WC here or can someone tell me there will better oppurtunities.

    Fabianski, Elliot
    Alonso Otamendi Jones Kenny Mariappa
    Lingard Arnie Alli Son RLC
    Kane Morata DCL

2,9 in the bank, 1 FT

I do have some problems, GK issue, Mariappa and DCL not essential anymore. Morata aint scoring, very tempting to stick tho as a differential in my ML. No Sterling is a issue also, both my rivals have Aguero and Sterling.

    A) Arnie > Sterling
    B) Morata > Kun
    C) Alli/son > Salah, Arnie > Sterling (-4)
    D) Other transfers?
    E) Save for 2 FT next GW to make a triple move and get Fabianski out also

    Thoughts?

Happy enough with green arrows despite the terrible DGW but I think some changes are in order. Where should I focus attention though?

    1FT £0.3itb

    DDG, Elliot
    Alonso, Vertonghen, Otamendi, Ogbonna, Duffy
    Sterling, Salah, Son, Arnautovic, Carroll
    Kane, Firmino, DCL

    A) Vertonghen, Son >> Jones, Lingard (-4)
    B) Vertonghen, Arnautovic >> Jones, Lingard (-4)
    C) Vertonghen, Son, Carroll >> Jones, Lingard, Richarlison (-8)
    D) Something else?

    Cheers!

Would Son to Lingard enable Firmino to Aguero next week ?

Richarlison and Watford in general have been off form, but looks good aside from that. Very brave to captain Kane against a defensively resurgent Everton

Yeah giving Richarlison some more time as has got decent fixtures coming up.

Captaincy tricy this week. Tempting to give it to Salah or Sterling...

Morning Folks! Who do you reckon scores higher over the next 4 gameweeks?
A - Richarlison (SOU, lei, stk, CHE)
B - Lingard (STK, bur, tot, HUD)

Probably Lingard but Richarlison still has potential to score well

Tough. Not much in it imo. Keep the one you got maybe?

B purely on the ability to put the ball in the back of the net

Have Richarlison at the moment and suppose I could hold on till after the Stoke (away) match in gw 25.

Barkley (who would have been a Free in the summer) is joining Chelsea for 15m !!! Where does he fit into Chelsea? Behind Loftus-Cheek or behind Van Ginkel?

Just in front of Josh McEachran

I think they're considering him for the Bakayoko position in a 3-5-2, where he can drive with the ball in front of Kante and Drinkwater/Fab

seems like a waste of money when they have RLC on their books

Chelsea don't develop players for their first team, the main point of sending RLC on loan is to add transfer value for when they sell him, not to gain experience.

Well role would probably be the attacking bit of the pivot in central midfield. Only Conte knows the pecking order, and how it will develop over time.

Do you honestly think he gets into that Chelsea first team 😆

Who would have thought Moses would ever start, even Alonso when he turned up ?

I don’t think he start much in the league, but when he does start, that is his best position imho.

Not sure Chelsea has anyone who occupies that 10 position and I think Chelsea would get more out of Morata with such a type of player.

Lingard's form vs Richarlison's guaranteed minutes.

Nope. There are some others in Mongolia and Africa also who prefer Richarlison. Just check the national leagues.
