What is the template? How can we break it? Should we even bother?

The discussion that unfolds is predictably sprawling and often heated, as once again the conflicting philosophies on Fantasy management in the ScoutCast crew are laid bare.

Elsewhere we let the rest of your community questions steer the conversation, as we contemplate Sanchez at United, battle Firmino vs Aguero and even find time to check in on Stoke.

Try as we might, even we struggle to argue about Stoke.

By the way, off the air we carried on the debate and, in the end, everyone agreed that I was right and that I also had the best beard.

A: Richarlison (got a feeling he will convert his chances, focal point at wat)
B: lingard (great form, tough fixtures, good stats but never fully nailed on. only takes one bad game to loose his place)
C: Ramsey (will have a look today if he plays, good fixtures)
D: Lanzini (double up on west ham for next four weeks?)

Captains:
A) Kane needs 2 goals to reach 100 in PL, and we've seen how much targets like this one motivate him.
B) Salah is the top FPL player this year, with great consistency.

I had my C on Salah but since I heard about Kane's 100 goals target I have lots of second thoughts.

What's your opinion?

Kane and Rooney (who really needs to go) > Kun and Firmino?

I was committed to holding Kane because he's so reliable, explosive and nailed on. However I've bottomed out on where to find funds and having thought about how some of the big teams successfully shut Kane down this season (e.g. United, Arsenal), I fear that those 3 tough fixtures coming up will present a challenge. You could argue either way (yes I know Kane scored a hatrick against Soton a few weeks ago and a brace vs Liv), but it seems like a great time to own Kun and Firmino, until Jesus is back at least.

I have Son who gets all kinds of goals and assists, whereas Kane has 1 assist this season and either kills it or gets locked down entirely through tactical defending. Could Son be worth holding more than Kane in near future rather than the downgrade option?

    True, although it’s not that I don’t want Kane, I’m more testing if I’m acting irrationally by not bringing in Aguero who’s fixtures are better and enables me to get Firmino. Kane can score a few against any team, but then again he barely sees the ball in some games

    For a hit but I’ll be taking hits this and next week anyway to fix 2 issues in my team. V good fixtures for Aguero and Bobby in next two GWs, wouldn’t consider it otherwise.

Thoughts for next 2 weeks: 1ft
Fabianski > Pickford (almost certain this week)
Eriksen > Mahrez (Almost certain this week) -4
next week
Son > Sane/Pogba (sane actually low ownership)
DCL > Wilson (enables 3-5-2. could do both transfers for a hit)

        true but there is other explosive players available and could be worth a differential to get them in with them having better fixtures. Who would of thought Sane would have been a Differential after his first few weeks Vs WBA at home, not bad I don't think

        Sane hadn't scored in 10 games prior to Pool game. A class act, no doubts, but swimming in the tank with too many attacking fish and not so nailed on. Son prob not so nailed either but scoring a nice few goals and less attacking competition at Spurs.

      I think next week will see a lot move away from Son given the fixtures and I like the sane option as a differential given that I have the cash. A lot will look to pogba I think.
