Is Darwin going to get at least 8 points more than Solanke in GW24 and DGW25? Thinking of selling Solanke for Darwin now and then get Solanke back in GW26.

    Darwin - Bur(H), Bre(A), Lut(H)
    Solanke - Ful(A), New(A)

Also does this move mean you need a hit in 25 and you may end up needing a hit to get Solanke back if someone gets injured etc

Yes I need a hit to take Darwin out for DGW26. Hence it's effectively a -8.

    Yes or no?

    Alvarez > Haaland
    Gordon > Garnacho
    Konsa > Branthwaite (-4)

Need the hit to afford the moves. Leaves:

    KdB Foden Saka Palmer (Garnacho)
    Watkins Solanke Haaland

        Options without a -4:
        TAA > Vvd
        Gordon > 4.4
        Solanke > Adebayo
        Saka > Richarlison

        Otherwise need a hit

Feels like FOMO to me, and I get it. But unlikely to be beneficial for your team. What is your plan for GW29? If not FH then you'll likely need to use another transfer to get Watkins back in later which makes the move a -8 basically. So does Darwin outscore Watkins by 8 points over those 3 fixtures. He could do, but the odds are against you.

For Toney, it depends how many blanks you have in 26 already. If you already have more than 3, that planned transfer to move Darwin on to solanke will mean you may need an extra hit to field an 11. So again, basically a -8. So similar to Watkins case above.

"Adebayo’s underlying numbers are eye-catching, too: he’s third among strikers for minutes per xG over his last six matches."

      I kinda agree.

Player/team who has scored goals at an unsustainable rate has high xG is "well, duh" and not necessarily a good reason to buy going forward.

I feel it's a classic instance of having data but not quite coming to the right interpretation. Which is most FPL advice/analysis TBF

    1 or 2

    1. Solanke to Darwin (Bowen will likely be fist off the bench)
    2. Bowen to Jota (more of a benching headache, with Gross likely first off the bench)

    Current attacking players are
    Saka / Foden / Gross / Palmer / Bowen
    Haaland / Solanke / Watkins

    Better option?

    A.) TC Haaland GW 25 (Che H, Bre H)

B.) Bench Boost GW 25 - Flekken (Liv H, Mci A), Toney (Liv H, Mci A), Moreno (Ful A), Van Hecke (Shu A)

Option B would default TC to Solanke in GW28

        Kaminski (Flekken)
VVD Trippier Doughty (Moreno, Van Hecke)
        KDB Foden Jota Barkley Richarlison
        Haaland (c) Darwin (Toney)

I think I would more likely bench Toney (Liv H, Mci A) ahead of Richarlison (Wol).

Been playing around with FPL.team and can noew seee the attraction of GW27. But things could become clearer.

Team atm (Trent on WC20 wasn't the best move, boy does he make it difficult?

    2FT 4.9 ITB

    Raya (Turner)
    TAA, Porro, Moreno (Estu, Gusto)
    KDB, Foden, Saka, Palmer (Eze)
    Solanke, Alvarez, Watkins

Alvarez to Haaland gives me -2.5.

If Foden rises tonight then Solanke, Alvarez, and Watkins to Cunha, Halland, Darwin, still leaves me 0.1 short. (-4)

Porro may be overpriced now Maddison is back, and Eze is back for Burnley (GW26) apparently which may help.

So I thought Solanke, Porro, Alvarez to Darwin, Haaland, and Doughty and way to to short for that Estu has to become Van Hecke for a -8.

So I A. Keep TAA, and do Solanke, Watkins, Porro, Alvarez to Darwin, Cunha, Haaland and Doughty

Or B. Just Solanke to Darwin and roll.

or C downgrade TAA to VVD,and do Alvarez, Solanke and Porro to Haaland Doherty, and Darwin

    I'm thinking GW27...

-Will know more about the potential blanks in GW29 (potentially can save your free hit in GW29)
-Can bring back Salah, Son and Saka for City midfielders
-Can target 6 Bournemouth/Luton players for the double which helps restructure our teams

      De Bruyne / Foden / Diogo J / Gordon
      Toney / Darwin / Haaland (C)

      Bench: 4.0, Gabriel, Taylor, 4.5

      GW25: Save FT
      GW26: Jota>Neto & Darwin>Watkins
      GW27: Wildcard?

      GW30/31.

I don't like a GW27 WC. You don't want Salah back for nfo MCY blank.

You only want Salah back in GW30.

The only good thing about WC27 is you can buy triple Spurs and go hard on Luton and Bournemouth but think about that... Are those 3 teams the ones you want to be heavy on going into the run-in with doubles in 34 and 37?

No they aren't. I want Liverpool, City and Arsenal players to make up the bulk of my actual (non-FH/doubles) team.

Well written, thanks, I may hold my WC depending on the blanks in GW29.

But at the moment it is possible for me to use minimal transfers to get triple Bournemouth, Son/Porro & maybe a Luton player.

    Hey there.
    a) Porro and Richarlison to Gomez and Jota
    or
    b) Porro and Richarlison to TTA and Barkley
(I have no Liverpool for gw 25 yet but have 3 City and 2 Luton)
Right now I can field 11 in gw 26 and doing either of the above keeps it that way.

One of those players that can make a game week. Perhaps not essential this week, but with the double afterwards has to be in consideration.

Weighing up selling Saka or Bowen. Are there other factors to consider than the below:

    Saka
PROS: frees up more cash and have no TV tied up in him, no game BGW29 likely, BGW26 fixture sucks
CONS: Good scorer - even for that period everyone wanted to sell him - and other fixtures outside 26/29 are great

    Bowen
PROS: plays BGW29, fixtures still decent, not a flash in the pan and will return to form
CONS: is out of favour for FPL and potential to bleed value, team not as good as Saka's, fixture this week no good, BGW29 might be too long term and is he still the best WHU attacking asset by then?

Saka is supposedly very kind and mild-mannered. He is also a religious man and regularly turns to the bible for inspiration.

Bowen's religious views are unclear, but he did replace a young fan's shirt after his squad number changed a couple of years ago, and I met him once briefly and he was very polite.

I don’t have either of them and I feel comfortable about that. If you’re unsure for this week, then don’t make the change and just roll. See how things develop the following game week.

It's not close imo. Keep Saka.

The fixtures until GW29 are good. Even 29 he might have a game if Chelsea lose to Leeds which is entirely possible imo.

    5. The Tonberry
        3 months, 22 days ago

It's a Saka or Bowen decision for me as well.

Am leaning towards keeping Bowen as I don't want to FH in 29 and think Bowen will be an essential player to have for that week. Both Bowen and Saka have decent if not great fixture runs from now until then.

FTs will be so important over the next few weeks to get through the doubles and blanks and don't think the fixtures on offer in GW29 will be that great to warrant using the FH chip and feel I could probably build up to the optimum GW29 team using transfers and not too many hits.

Currently have TAA, Jota & Halanad for the DGW.

Toying around with DGW player combos. Can't afford both KDB & Foden unfortunately, so leaving me with the below combos to get 4 or 5 DGW players:

      A) VVD, KDB, Gordon, Solanke
      B) VVD, Saka, Foden, Solanke
      C) TAA, Foden, Rodri, Darwin

Who are your players that you play every game, regardless of opponent? Mine are:

      Salah
      Son
      Saka
      Haaland
      Watkins
      Palmer
GK combo of Aroela + Dubravka

These players should be mainstay imo. Palmer is there because he has only 17 pts less than Saka, and he really started playing 90 mins in GW7 (!!!) which is incredible.

That leaves you with 4 other starters. Easy to chop and change between 4 DGW players by relying on Free Transfers

        Good post.

When you put it like that plans to sell Palmer (including my own) seem bonkers. He really is a 9-10M asset priced at 5's.

Other players I'd never bench (I don't own all of these):
        Richarlison in current role
        TAA
Trippier - both have way too much upside, regardless of opponent

This is really interesting. When you look at the FA Cup fixtures individually it gives the perception that we'll likely have no more fixtures in GW29. This then makes using a WC or FH in the next few GWs very attractive. However, based on the bookie odds, the most likely scenario is that we'll end up with 5 fixtures in GW29 and the chances of only having 3 is only 1.1%.

Worth considering before pulling the trigger on a WC.

Odds are cumulative, in reality the most likely scenario is 4.

Comes down to Notts Forest vs Man Utd

Notts lose, they almost certainly play Luton, whose FA Cup match is against Man City

Man Utd lose, they play Sheffield Utd, who are already out.

So one of those fixtures will almost certainly be added to the 3 blanks.

The other 6 will go ahead unless there are significant upsets.

hello DZ, happy Lunar New Year to those who're celebrating. Appreciate some early thoughts here:

      Martinez
      Colwill, Gabriel, Porro
      Palmer, Saka, Foden, Jota
      Haaland (c), Solanke, Watkins

Bench - Strak, Gordon, Estup, Baldock with 5.3m and 1 FT.

What should I do, my defence is really wrecked:
      1) Roll
      2) Gordon -> Richarlison (but he blanks 26)
      3) Estup/Colwill -> Walker or BGW26 def
      4) Saka -> KDB for DGW25
      5) Solanke -> Darwin for DGW25 (and reverse in 27)

      Thanks much!
