West Ham’s persistent injury problems with new signings continues, as news came in today that Julien Faubert will be sidelined for 6 months. The French signing from Bordeaux suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the friendly against Czech Republic side Sigma Olomouc. Faubert has been pencilled in for a possible return at Christmas. He is expected to consult a surgeon in the next few days. His absence gives West Ham a problem, having sold Benayoun to Liverpool, they now appear to be short of wide midfielders – with Boa Morte or Bowyer now the only options for Faubert’s position on the right-hand side.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
