The lastest suggestions doing the rounds over at Tribal Football, state that Didier Drogba’s scan on a knee injury revealed damage that will keep him out until Chelsea’s final game in August against Portsmouth. This would mean Chelsea coping without the striker against Birmingham, Reading and Liverpool. This bitter pill is somewhat sweetened by the news that Shevchenko is likely to be available to Mourinho for the weekend. Shevchenko was apparently involved in a full training session yesterday and the suggestion is that Jose’s decsion to omit him from the Shield game on Sunday was purely a “precautionary measure”.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
