One thing that struck me about the absence of Van Persie over the coming weeks is that Wenger could opt to revert to the 4-5-1 he used pre-season with Alexander Hleb employed just behind Adebayor. This setup resulted in a set of good results and a flurry of goals and assists for the midfielder and could well be an option that Wenger goes back to while he nurses Van Persie back to fitness. Eduardo is fit and available for selection however, with Rosicky also back and the likes of Gilberto also available to pack a midfield, a 4-5-1 could be on the cards. That would see Hleb’s star rising considerably over the next month.
