Middlesbrough’s injury concerns are beginning to clear with Julio Arca, Jonathan Woodgate, Mido and Andrew Taylor all nearing a return to action.

Arca is back in full training after being absent for two months with a medial ligament injury. It is thought that the Villa game at the weekend will come too early for the midfielder but he is likely to return to the lineup for Boro’s trip to Reading on December 1. Woodgate however seems likely to return to action straight away after missing the last two matches with a hamstring injury.

Mido is back running on his groin injury as is Andrew Taylor who suffered a foot injury last time out. Boro can’t be sure at this stage whether either will be in contention to return against Villa.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
