Gabby Agbonlahor looks set to return to the Villa lineup for the visit to Reading on Sunday [source]. The striker missed the Newcastle game last weekend with a hamstring injury but has now returned to training and it’s looking like he’ll be in contention for a starting role.

“Gabby is fine. He did a little bit of training, the pitches were too frosty on Tuesday, but he did some training indoors. It was the first day he had joined in with us…Hopefully he will get a full week of training in now and then see how he is”, remarked O’Neill today.

If fit, Agbonlahor would be set to start up front with Carew, although Harewood is also pushing for a start having figured prominently from the bench in recent games. A popular fantasy target early in the season, Agbonlahor has gone five games without a goal and will be looking to break that run against a generous Reading defence.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
