Cesc Fabregas is present in Arsenal’s squad for tomorrow night’s Champions League qualifier with FC Twente.
Wenger has confirmed that Fabregas is available but wouldn’t talk of his possible role in the game. With Arsenal leading the tie 2-0 after the away leg, it would seem likley that the Spanish playmaker and fantasy favourite will start on the bench. A start against Newcastle at the weekend however looks more than likely.
The return of Fabregas not only introduces another option for fantasy managers in midfield, it could also hand a new lease of life to the likes of Adebayor and Van Persie who have clearly struggled as a result of Arsenal’s lack of creativity and control in midfield areas.
Wenger also confirmed that new signing Silvestre will be sidelined until mid-September with the thigh injury that kept him out at Fulham this weekend.
