Samir Nasri’s owners won’t see him in action this weekend with Wenger confirming that the midfielder will sit the game out. The Frenchman picked up a knee injury whilst on International duty earlier this month but is expected to for the Gunners’ next game at home to Hull.

Wenger will also be without Diaby and Silvestre for the trip to one of his least favourite haunts but has no new injury worries following last night’s draw in Kiev. Nasri’s absence could see Walcott make his fourth start in the space of a week against Bolton. However, Wenger has indicated he’ll rotate for the weekend after a gruelling Champions League game…

“There will be a little bit of rotation of course, because it was a very physical game and we had to give absolutely everything. But I cannot tell you yet how it will work,”.

That’s suitably vague Arsene – thanks for that.

Eboue looks odds on to come back in while Walcott is surely a prime candidate for a rest, which could mean action for Vela. Bendtner could also figure of course with Van Persie a possible candidate for the bench – the big Dane would also give Arsenal some added height for the predicted set piece bombardment.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
