As you’ve probably heard, Paul Ince has been shown the door by Blackburn Rovers

It’s impossible to assess the likely affects of this development on us fantasy managers, although as with all changes of management, an immediate revival of Blackburn’s fortunes will be expected….

That could well bring profits for Rovers players then, at a time when their fixtures apppear to offer decent potential. Santa Cruz is an obvious consideration, while an improvement defensively could find some value in the likes of Samba and Emerton. Form suggests this is unlikely but again, the fixtures suggest that a couple of clean sheets could be on the horizon if overall form picks up.

Much depends on the eventual successor of course and how soon he can be put installed. Allardyce, Curbishley and Souness are all repotedly in the frame. We’ll no doubt get to speculate more on their likely impact on Blackburn’s players and form as things develop further in the coming week(s). For now though, a home win against Stoke with profit for Santa Cruz looks all the more likely than it did this morning.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
