Bosingwa was withdrawn at half-time after suffering a gash to his leg and has already been ruled out of Portugal’s friendly with South Africa on Wednesday. That’s likely to be just a precautionary measure, with Chelsea keen to protect their player prior to the visit to Newcastle this coming weekend. Regardless, he’ll be a doubt for that one and his fantasy owners must now be on alert for news of the injury throughout the week.
