Robinho is the latest injury doubt to emerge from the weekend’s international action. Man City are currently sweating over his availability for the weekend fixture with Arsenal at Eastlands after sustained a thigh injury in Brazil’s win over Argentina.
He has been ruled out of Brazil’s match against Chile in midweek but will stay with the sqaud while he attempts to recover in time for the weekend. We can expect an update on his availability on Friday then.
In fantasy terms this is not major news, although it does mean that Hughes will likley look to keep an unchanged side for the visit of Arsenal. Robinho was benched against Portsmouth last time out, with Craig Bellamy somewhat surprisingly keeping his starting role along with Tevez and Adebayor in attack. Hughes has plenty of options elsewhere if he wants to change the shape this weekend, with Petrov and De Jong also candidates to come into the side.
