Carlo Ancelotti has stated that Chelsea must wait until later today before they can assess Didier Drogba’s condition following the Spurs game on Sunday.

The Ivorian limped off the field on 84 minutes after notching another goal and assist in the 3-0 win. The Chelsea boss offered some clues as to Drogba’s state in his post-match interview and is clearly hoping for the best…

We don’t know precisely what happened, it is too early…We hope tomorrow we will have a precise diagnosis of the situation. It is a calf injury but he felt that he had cramp. If it is cramp, it is good for us.

Chelsea are at Wigan next weekend, a fixture that certainly promises further returns for the Ivorian, should he be fit to take the field. With over half a million owners in the Fantasy Premier League game, there is a lot at stake if Drogba has indeed sustained a significant injury.

Keep an eye on Greek Fans’ tweets for the very latest on this throughout the week.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
